FT: China imposes sanctions on largest US drone maker supplying drones to Ukraine

The geopolitical standoff between the US and China continues to escalate. In response to the approval of the delivery of strike weapons, drones Taiwan China has imposed sanctions on the American company Skydio, which is the largest manufacturer drones in the US, writes the Financial Times.

The report says that Chinese suppliers have been banned from working with Skydio and can no longer supply it with critical components, including batteries, causing significant problems in the American company's supply chain.

In turn, the US manufacturer, having found itself in a difficult situation, is actively looking for alternative suppliers and has already turned to the White House for support.

The FT article reports that the company's CEO Adam Bry met with the US deputy secretary of state to discuss ways to resolve the issue, and stressed that Beijing's sanctions were an attempt to weaken the US manufacturer and increase global reliance on Chinese drones.

It is worth noting that Skydio previously reported that it had sent more than a thousand drones to Ukraine for reconnaissance. At the same time, Kyiv has expressed interest in the X10 model, as this version is more resistant to electronic warfare, which makes it preferable for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is a completely natural desire not to supply components for products that can be used against you. Now the Americans will start screaming and saying that "this is not allowed!!" ))

For the attack on DJI by the Chinese, tsk-tsk hi

As the Americans themselves say, It takes two to tango... They banned the products of the world leader for government purchases in their country. And they are going to shut down imports altogether.
That's why there are sanctions. In the spirit of mutual and passionate love!

China responded promptly to the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) of the Barmaleys in Africa.

China is not helping us here, but itself. They are creating problems for the Americans in supplying drones to Taiwan. If this reduces the number of drones supplied by the US to Ukraine, then this is just a side effect.

Well, that's also an option, although IMHO it's unlikely. Because drones are practically not supplied to Taiwan by matras, but Ruina itself makes their components, thousands of drones a day. And if access to the components and saucepans had been removed back in 2022, the SVO could have already ended.

I asked around and saw that apart from the DPRK, no one really helped us.
although if for you it is the fact that China supports us at international forums, then you don’t have to worry, there is a class of people for whom verbal support is more important than support with actions.

and what's there? from the same opera as Turkey, which helps Russia, or Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan, through which ours buy some equipment and consumables? or about China selling some goods that the military uses to us and to the pots?

Let me clarify. The Chinese communists, observing inter-imperialist contradictions, decided to support national liberation movements in the Russian Federation in the fight against the dictatorship of foreign oligarchs.

Moreover, at that time in Tartarus, the national liberation movement was financially and organizationally supported by the Nizhny Novgorod and Novgorod traders of “soft gold” (furs), who did not pay for the “transit of energy resources” to European proxies.

but some people think that China is so worried about us that it can't even eat and imposed sanctions on mattresses out of solidarity with us. And the fact that saucepan drones are made of Chinese stuff, who cares, it's easier to be smart on a topvar from the couch than to "rest" in a trench or take a strongpoint.
and then in articles about the fact that the pots are shooting new Indian, Pakistani, Turkish and even Serbian ammunition they are surprised "oh, who did this"

With such a large volume of trade between China and the US, with the surplus clearly in China's favor, it is not profitable to destroy the ties. Chairman Xi will not make any sudden moves unless he is provoked into retaliatory measures, as is the case now.
Trade turnover between China and the United States increased by 2,3% year-on-year in January-September to $504,4 billion. China's exports to the United States grew by 2,8% to $381,1 billion, and imports by 0,7% to $123,2 billion.

          >$200 billion is for the whole of 2023, and here >$500 billion for 9 months. Moreover, China is increasing exports of innovative goods with high added value to the US, while the US is increasing gas and oil. A particularly interesting point is that China very strictly regulates access to its big data and, in fact, prohibits its companies from using cloud resources in the US.

China is promoting peacekeeping plans, but it is adding fuel to the fire of the conflict by supplying components for military purposes. Either take off your cross or put on your underwear, comrade Xi.

The stupidity of mattress makers is sometimes simply amazing, because it is clear that the components come from China))) now it turns out that the best UAVs in the world, there is nothing to assemble))) what to do? or as the old Danish prince used to say - to be or not to be?)))

Well, the Ukrainians will now get more Chinese drones instead of American ones - so what good does it do us if the Chinese and not the Americans will now earn more on deliveries to the Ukrainian Armed Forces?

the news only says that China has refused to supply spare parts for American drones... and all. nothing is written about the fact that they decided not to sell their (Chinese) drones to the Americans, nothing is written about the fact that they banned the supply of Chinese drones to someone in the Ukrainian Armed Forces either... so why did you decide that the Ukrainians will no longer have drones? They will... they just won't be striped ones

"In response to the approval of the supply of attack drones to Taiwan, China imposed sanctions against the American company Skydio, which is the largest manufacturer of drones in the United States...earlier Skydio reported that it had sent more than a thousand drones used for reconnaissance to Ukraine."

So until the Americans actually started giving attack drones to Taiwan, the Chinese government - which is supposedly allied with Russia "for a multipolar world and against US hegemony" - had no problem with supplying parts to a US drone manufacturer which was sending drones to the Ukronazis who use them to attack Russia and kill Russians... Shameful disgrace!

yes yes yes.. and Chinese drones, the US, for transfer later to the Ukrainian Armed Forces - well, there is no way they will buy them? No one stopped their deliveries to the US.. not to mention the fact that there are 80-90% of Chinese drones in the SVO, on both sides.
