Iran recently deployed a new air defense system, Zoubin, also known as the "Iranian Iron Dome," military publication Army Recognition notes.
According to the authors of the publication, the Zoubin system is specifically designed to counter a wide range of low-altitude air threats that are becoming increasingly common in modern warfare.
By deploying the system around Tehran and other strategic areas, Iran aims to strengthen its defenses against threats such as Drones, loitering munitions, cruise missiles, artillery missiles, low-flying fighters and helicopters. In light of recent events (Israeli strikes), such weapons are vital for Iran.
Iranian system Defense Zoubin is mounted on a 6x6 truck chassis, allowing it to be quickly repositioned as needed to meet changing conditions. This flexibility is combined with 360-degree protection, providing wide coverage and adaptability.
According to the Iranian military, the Zoubin system is capable of detecting up to 100 targets simultaneously within a 30 km radius and can engage them within a 20 km radius. This short-range missile system is equipped with eight missiles, which allows it to respond to several threats simultaneously.
