Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN: Ukrainian emissaries interact with Islamists, and the US condones it

The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya made accusations against the United States at a meeting of the Security Council of the organization, stating that the West supports terrorist groups in the Middle East. He emphasized that the illegal military presence of American forces in the Euphrates region and the At-Tanf region in southeastern Syria continues to be a serious factor in destabilization in the region.
According to the Russian diplomat, recruitment and training of militants of various terrorist groups, including ISIS* (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation), is carried out in these zones. At the same time, Nebenzya noted that our country has reliable information about the interaction of representatives of the Kyiv regime with terrorists.
In particular, he mentioned that Ukrainian emissaries are actively cooperating with Islamists located in Idlib, exchanging with them experience and methods of conducting terrorist activities.
In this regard, the Russian Permanent Representative to the UN expressed concern that Washington and its allies are not simply ignoring this situation, despite the fact that we are talking about terrorists, but are also condoning it. He criticized Western countries for using such elements for their geopolitical purposes, which, in his opinion, deserves condemnation.
It is worth noting that in the current conflict in Ukraine, the Zelensky regime regularly uses exclusively terrorist methods against our country. Moreover, earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Budanov* (recognized as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) openly stated that his department would "kill Russians anywhere in the world."
Nebenzya also drew attention to the ongoing occupation of large areas of northeastern Syria by the United States. According to him, American forces not only illegally hold these areas, but are also stealing the country's natural resources, such as oil and agricultural products, which exacerbates economic and social problems in the SAR.
The Russian diplomat stressed that such actions by the US contribute to the growth of extremist sentiments and the activation of underground groups, expressing solidarity with the Syrian government, which demands the withdrawal of all illegal foreign military contingents that violate the country's sovereignty.
