"The plant was forced to suspend repairs and production of armored vehicles."
How many missiles are needed so that the plant does not suspend repairs and production of armored vehicles, but stops them for an indefinite period?

One, but with a small thermonuclear warhead, no one will go there for about 10 years. laughing

Finally, they started to put several missiles on one large object to be on the safe side. Previously, there was a practice - one Iskander would arrive, and the media would report joyful news that a missile had destroyed almost the entire plant.

Was the plant built during the USSR? If during the USSR, then a lot. And if during the Ukrobanderia, then most likely it stopped working forever.

In the Union, UNDER such a plant, they were building another one, but it is not reachable even by TNW... So, unfortunately, you are right, it is possible to hit them with conventional missiles for a very, very long time. Minus a dozen is also a plus. But I will not be surprised if there are dozens of products in the subway...

And how many tons can we throw into orbit? And if not throw - launch by ballistics (controlled) with this weight? ODAB - do you think the underground "factory" will function

Three Iskanders with SB, 10-50 kt each. Three because a 100% guarantee of defeat is needed.

If you hit factory substations, it will last for a long time. If you hit workshops with equipment where repairs are being made, it will also last for a long time. And if you combine them, it will last for a very long time.

At the same time, I should note that the territory of the plant is not very extensive! I would even say it is small, for a plant. I had the chance, being a lieutenant, in 1986 to hand over two BTR-70s there for major repairs. At that time it was called the 346th BTRZ (armored repair plant), at the address 1st Kustarny Lane (probably renamed) ... I don’t remember the rest of the number. I spent a month and a half there then. It was July-August, the beaches of the Southern Bug ..., there was nowhere to hurry! laughing Well, there were other reasons not to rush, smaller ones. winked But, besides the beaches, for such a period of time..., I still walked around the plant territory normally....

They used to build solidly, and during the Cold War, with an eye on possible nuclear wars, they built even more solidly... It's hard to destroy now! It's easier to destroy the transport routes connecting with Europe.

Plant - substations, power lines...maybe send geranium, and then hit the diesel generators?

      15 October 2024 21: 26
Temporary solution... At such objects there are 3-5 options of power supply. Moreover, it is unrealistic to hit underground cables. They are laid according to the "metro" principle. High-voltage power lines and emergency diesel generators are only "2 levels of the game".

Perhaps you do not quite understand how the power supply of large factories is arranged. Large enterprises usually have high-voltage substations, the so-called deep input. If it fails, the enterprise completely loses its power supply. And no cables have anything to do with it. Cables are already distribution networks. Without a step-down substation, they are just pieces of copper or aluminum.

The plant is big. There is no point in just firing missiles. Would you do that? Or wait for intelligence that specifically where, in which workshop, equipment repairs have begun?

A workshop without equipment is an empty box. If the equipment is destroyed or damaged by a blow, then what's the point. Let them continue.

You don't know how and what actually happened there, but they've already rushed to throw it out. But this option is not allowed - the plant didn't work, it stood empty, and now the conscious brothers were forced to organize tank repairs there, dragging equipment there and connecting electricity

That's why I asked the question, because I don't know. No one here is obliged to understand everything. For example, I didn't understand, is this punishable? You wouldn't be handing out marks left and right to those who have never thrown here. So many throwers have spawned here while I've been wandering from one ban to another.
As for the factories, I think that any facility associated with the Ukrainian junta, whether empty or not functioning, should be destroyed immediately.

There is a certain partisan there - an underground leader named Lebedev. He probably walked between Odessa and Kherson and scouted, looked through binoculars... He found it, after all.

      Suddenly, yes.
Tank repair shops were established in Nikolaev in May 1948 in accordance with the order of the commander of the Odessa Military District.

On March 4, 1966, the workshops were transformed into the 346th armored repair plant of the USSR Ministry of Defense.

In the 1980s, the plant mastered the production of the ATM-1 emergency transport vehicle based on the BRDM-2 and the ATM-2 emergency transport vehicle based on the BTR-60PB.(c)

Thanks for the reference - what does "just mastered production" mean - a modification of the BRDM-2 and BTR-60 produced by others or a full production cycle? (in any case, it doesn't qualify as an armored plant - that's not it lol

Well, that means your idea of what an armored repair plant is doesn't match the one that existed in the USSR. You know better what can be called a plant and what doesn't.

Kim said they hit "a restaurant and some infrastructure facility with S-300 missiles."
That is, for him, an armored plant is “some kind of infrastructure facility.”
Well, we had no doubt that the restaurant was hit by an S-300 (anti-aircraft missile).

I'm getting a bit tired... Some people don't really read what people wrote, others don't really think about it... Where did I write that the video shows an anti-aircraft missile? Ok, I'll try to explain it.
Kim (not me) claims that the shelling was carried out by the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system (the fact that it has a 40 km radius on the ground does not bother anyone). Attention, the question is - why is he writing this? It's all very simple. The S-300 anti-aircraft missile system is Ukrainian air defense missile, which hit a restaurant during interception training. Now, pay attention! We declare that the "evil Russians" are hitting civilians. Definitely Russians: Kim said that they were firing S-300 missiles - here are the remains of an S-300, indeed.
The fact that the point of firing anti-aircraft missiles at the ground is slightly less than zero does not bother anyone.
        So clearer?

No, no, you misunderstood me as well. My remark is sarcasm on Kim's words that you quoted. I understand very well that all this talk about "the Russians don't have normal missiles, so they launch S-300" is nothing more than a cover-up for the mistakes of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
