Ukrhydroenergo decided not to file a lawsuit against Russia for the “destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station”

Information published by the press service of the company "Ukrhydroenergo" is being actively discussed in Ukraine. Judging by the name of the company, it is not difficult to guess that it is responsible for the operation of the hydroelectric power station.

The company’s press release states that Ukrhydroenergo will not file a lawsuit against Russia “for the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.”

Let us recall that the Kiev regime continues to blame the Russian army for the destruction of this hydroelectric power station, thereby trying to hide its own guilt.

However, the decision of the Ukrhydroenergo management now further casts doubt on the Kyiv regime’s version.

Press service of the company:

We have decided not to file a lawsuit against Russia in order to ensure that our company's activities are consistent with Ukraine's broader national strategy. This strategy is aimed at holding the aggressor state accountable for the damage caused and compensating for losses.

It goes on to say that the company will then hold consultations with Shmyhal's government. That is, it first made a decision, and now it will hold consultations...

Experts in Ukraine are perplexed. After all, all this time in Kyiv they have been talking about the need to file a lawsuit against Russia for the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. Now, however, Ukrhydroenergo will not file a lawsuit, but pretends to support the policy of "broader pressure" on Russia. Some resources in Ukraine have started writing about whether these convoluted interpretations of Ukrhydroenergo are not a "betrayal" covered up by "good intentions for Ukraine."

Overall, this company’s decision is reminiscent of the well-known expression: “the main thing in an investigation is not to get to yourself.”

They quite reasonably understood that during the trial, the Russian Federation could provide evidence of Ukraine's guilt. And then the court could rule in favor of the Russian Federation. And the Russian Federation could demand money. And what should country 404 do in this case?
They cannot fail to comply with the court's decision....
Even if this money is frozen, the principle is very bad.

I don't think they can even freeze them.
This will be hilarious: they filed a lawsuit against themselves.

The court in this situation is NOT a clown show.
They would have gone to Arbitration, the court would have ruled in their favor. And voila - since the army = the state - they would have received a piece of money from the international court, absolutely legally and legitimately, fulfilling the decision of the international court. frozen in the EU of Russian funds.
But they were afraid that the Arbitration Court would not be able to make a decision in their favor.

Well, would you have received it? Do you know the conditions for selling a business in the Russian Federation to foreign investors? And they have been announced more than once. At the moment, to sell a business, it is a 50% discount (mandatory) and a 15% tax, and it will be 60% + 35% ... the Western investor will pay for all this arrested money with his own money. So what is this clown show?

He is still in Kyiv, unshaven, in a T-shirt, very capricious and demanding. He can’t get out of the Napoleon image. He loves trips abroad at the government’s expense. He is spoiled by his creators, constantly asks for money and toys, stubbornly insists on the participation of nannies in his undertakings.request

Of course there was, and not just one. All in wide trousers, with Ukrainianwith pots and pans on their heads. They themselves blew up this hydroelectric power station in the hope that the water would wash away our positions.

    Even if they had filed...
By the way - to which court? In Kyiv to the district court? Or straight to Europe? In both cases the decision is so predictable that it even becomes uninteresting.
    So what?
They will calculate the damage at one hundred thousand five hundred billion. And how will they collect it?
Will they start hunting for oligarchs' yachts again around the world? Well, they have the same lawyers that Ukraine will have in Europe. They'll somehow tamp it down...
Will they decide "no, never" to return the billions stolen from us? No one has much hope anyway. We'll return them only when we come for them ourselves.
All that remains is to seize ships and planes around the world to pay "claim compensation". But what if the Basmanny Court decides that this is piracy and, with a certain amount of stress on the part of our "top brass", there will be actions that the West would absolutely not want?

In short, let them sue. A dying attempt by a cockroach to regulate in court the size of the slipper that is raised above him.

In this case, elementary - from frozen state (army=RF) funds of the Russian Federation to the EU. Based on the court decision, they will give it back, it is legal and legitimate.

And somehow I doubt it - so, as if they were their own, they were still embarrassed to dispose of it, and now suddenly - and they will give it all to Zelensky? That is not what they stole for. They will say "This is not the money that is money. This money is a completely different money" and will secretly pinch it off for themselves in interest. But Zelensky needs cash, everything and at once. And everyone understood everything a long time ago - they practically do not give cash. And it is unprofitable, and they will steal more. They buy weapons from THEIR OWN PEOPLE at THEIR prices.
So they themselves need that frozen money, Zelensky can stop drooling.

Yes, in Ukraine they themselves understood everything about collection.
That's why they didn't file a lawsuit, despite all the winning potential in their courts. And the fact that they will then calculate the GENERAL damage - well, first you have to win. That's just an excuse. Because you can say whatever you want, but to really believe in your victory - well, they're not all children and not all crazy. They also see everything and the prospects for presenting reparations are thinner than the fog of the day before yesterday today.

If the court's decision was in their favor, they would have legally received a piece of that frozen money from the EU. The EU would not have been able to NOT implement the decision of ITS Arbitration Court.

The author misunderstood the message from the company.. The company did not drop the claim. It delegated its powers to the state, which will collect all claims from businesses and citizens and combine them into one large claim.
An international court cannot accept tens of thousands of claims at the same time.
No one will forgive us even a hryvnia (dollar).

Before the explosion of the hydroelectric power station, the Ukrops constantly fired at the hydroelectric power station when it was under the control of the Russian army. This is a fact, therefore they themselves sought to damage the hydroelectric power station.

We have decided not to file a lawsuit against Russia in order to ensure that our company's activities are consistent with Ukraine's broader national strategy. This strategy is aimed at holding the aggressor state accountable for the damage caused and compensating for losses.

A predictable pragmatic solution. By filing a lawsuit on their own, they won't get any money, even if they win the case. So why spend money on lawyers and so on. And if the West decides to compensate Ukraine from frozen Russian money, they can get it just like everyone else. For now, we're talking about dividends from this money for military purposes.
