Darkness is coming

There will be a time when no sound teachings will be accepted,
but according to their whims they will choose their teachers
that would flatter hearing;
and they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn to fables
(2 Tim. 4, 3-4)

Continuing to get acquainted with the works of the "beacons" of domestic stories I decided to make some generalization of what we are called for both openly and "between the lines" by new chronologists and mathematicians and other traitors of our country. It would seem that the absurdity of the opuses is obvious and does not require proof, but no. Victor Rezun once again with Ren TV announces that his "Icebreaker" is floating in search of his iceberg, the number of supporters of supernova theories is growing, and now the president hints at us that the Tatars on the Kulikovo Field fought on both sides . The president is not a historian, ignorance is excusable for him, and Kazan is still part of Russia.

I still cannot single out funds for the "golden" works of A. T. Fomenko, so I continue to get acquainted with these truly "revolutionary" works on the videos of the same YOU TUBE. In the next part of A.T. Fomenko makes many different discoveries akin to the anecdote that Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels are four different people, only he changed the polarity and now Tiberius, Claudius, Caligula and Nero became Henry IV. And then A.T. Fomenko begins to engage in nothing more than the dismantling of Christianity and Orthodoxy. What is wrong with the Christianity of A.T. Fomenko? - First of all, by the mere fact of its existence, it destroys its “picture of the world”. The world of the godless. Where everything is illusory and from the Orthodox point of view there is a realization of the plans of the one who, according to N. O. Lossky, "comes forward with the intention not to destroy, but to create, but his own kingdom is surely his own plan, apart from God and despite God."

“It becomes terrible when reading this work. A cloud of ignorance advances on us and proudly comes into its own, and even celebrates some of its victory. ” historian and theologian N. P. Aksakov (Aksakov N. P. The Infinity of Ignorance and the Apocalypse. SPb., 1908. C. 24).

So, A.T.Fomenko claims that the Bible was created in the XVI-XVII centuries. Christ lived and was crucified in the 11th century, but Christianity was before Christ. It is from Christianity that all known religions originated. The Bible, which is now used by the Christian Church, is not genuine, but is only an essay of the XVII century and reflects the history of relations between the Rus-Horde state and its neighboring countries.

From this the following conclusions follow. The Church, which proclaims the good news of salvation to mankind, based on real biblical events, turns out to be a liar. Christ is declared a simple man, and therefore His sufferings have no meaning for other people. There is no fundamental difference between world religions as well as religious sects, therefore there is no obstacle to their merging into a single world religion. Consider now, where A.T.Fomenko deceives the reader or shows his ignorance.

The first is the statement that reading the Bible for lay people was banned in Judaism and the Orthodox Church. This is a blatant lie, since there has never been such a ban in the Orthodox Church. Regarding the Greek Bibles, the author deliberately declares handwritten Bible codes, namely Sinai, Vatican, Alexandria, Efremov, dating from the 4th-5th centuries with later handicrafts, as they destroy his concept. In general, the author has a very convenient position: as soon as there is a book that undermines the theory, it is immediately announced as an odd job. In confirmation, Fomenko cites part of the statement of the church historian V. V. Bolotov, where he speaks of the presence of fake books in antiquity. Fomenko, in the presence of only the possibility of the existence of fakes, concludes that all Greek manuscripts of the Bible are falsified. It is interesting to note that the very same V.V. Bolotov literally through several sentences speaks of the criteria for identifying fakes and distinguishing them from real ancient manuscripts. Behavior worthy of Rezun - tearing out quotations from the text in the hope that the reader will not check.

In his criticism of the Sinai Code, written in the IV century, Fomenko relies on the arguments of N. A. Morozov, a revolutionary-People's Will, all the arguments of which are reduced to just two provisions. First, Morozov says that the sheets of the Sinai Code are not worn out at the bottom corners, are not greasy, and have retained their flexibility, have not become fragile, and do not break into small pieces at the slightest touch. Secondly, there is only the abstract possibility of a fake. Based on such arguments, the IV century manuscript is dated by Fomenko himself of the XVI-XIX centuries. As they say no comment. It is possible that if the manuscript were written on paper, then it would have become old. But after all, the Sinai Codex is written on parchment, which was made of bull leather, and which is practically not subject to aging. In antiquity, books were treated very carefully, and therefore the question about the thickening of the pages is removed. The very fact that Fomenko, in this matter, resorts to the testimony of the author, who is completely incompetent in biblical studies, paleography and history, shows the bad faith of the reformer of world history. In addition, the book Fomenko says that after the seventeenth century, some second prophecy of Daniel, filled with medieval geographical and ethnic names, was excluded from the Bible. Despite Fomenko’s assurance that the text of this prophecy is in the Appendix, you cannot find it there, it simply isn’t there. Like Rezun, Fomenko does not go to the archive, does not issue copies of ancient manuscripts from abroad, but what sources does he use then? - He makes excerpts from two or three books of the Soviet period of 70, that is, the time when an active struggle was waged against the Christian religion, when even the historicity of Christ and the apostles was denied. Again without comment. An important proof of the antiquity of the Hebrew text of the Bible is the Nash papyrus, created between the 2nd century BC. X. and 70 year R. X. and containing ten commandments. After the discovery of the Dead Sea manuscripts in 1947, of which 175 texts are biblical, new evidences of the antiquity of the Old Testament appeared. The manuscripts found date back to 200 year BC X. - 68 year R. X. (finds in Qumran) and 132-135 for years R. X. (finds in the Vadir-Murabbaat valley). All the books of the Old Testament, with the exception of the book of Esther, are represented as handwritten texts. Therefore, Fomenko’s claim that many Old Testament books appear only in the Middle Ages does not hold water. As Fomenko himself points out, the dating of the Qumran finds is confirmed as a result of radiocarbon analysis. But for the new historian, such an analysis is not a convincing argument. Fomenko argues that among the Qumran manuscripts were found New Testament texts. Hence the conclusion about the later creation of all manuscripts. Is this true? Indeed, there is one piece of manuscript, about the size of 4's square. see, preserved the surviving just a few words on different lines. This piece was attempted to be identified with the passage of the Gospel of Mark, but this attempt was not crowned with success. “The message about the discovery of the Gospel fragments from Mark in 7-th Qumran's cave, which would indicate a direct connection between the community of Jewish sectarians and the first Christians, was not confirmed” (Qumran texts. Release of the second. SPb., 1996. C.

Turning to the Slavic manuscripts, Fomenko lists the manuscripts of the 11th – 13th centuries and says that there are no Bibles in the modern sense of the word. This is true (that is, none of the manuscripts contain a complete set of all biblical books). However, all the manuscripts listed by Fomenko contain biblical quotations, excerpts, borrowings, or are themselves part of the Bible.

We should not be surprised, together with Fomenko, that not all biblical books were equally distributed and revered in ancient Russia. Let's see which books were the most popular. - This is the Gospel, the Apostle and the Psalter. The Gospel and the Apostle are those books, without which it is impossible to imagine Christianity. They reveal the very teaching of Christ. The Psalm, containing the psalms of King David, since ancient times was considered the best book for prayer. Therefore, the reason for the popularity of these books lies in themselves.

The most interesting thing is that Fomenko, referring to the creation of the Old Testament to the XVI-XVII centuries, the New Testament dates from the XI century. But the New Testament is replete with quotations from the Old Testament. For example, quotes and borrowings from the book of Genesis are found in the New Testament 109 times, from the Exodus book 111 times, from the Levite book 35 times, from the Numbers book 24 times, and from the Deuteronomy book 94 times. The entire Pentateuch is used in the New Testament 373 times. So what? First they wrote the New Testament, and then they added the Old Testament under its quotations? It is hard to believe in it. Or did the Old Testament quotations in such numbers be inserted after the original text, without violating its unity? And there are more than two thousand such quotes from all the Old Testament books. So, to invent them and insert them into an already finished text is a task almost impossible at all. The New Testament was written in the first century, and not in the eleventh. This is confirmed by numerous manuscripts that Fomenko does not consider in his book. There are almost five thousand manuscripts containing all or part of the New Testament.

However, Fomenko himself claims that his works are not of any religious nature. He writes: “We emphasize that our research is purely scientific in nature and does not pursue any political, social or religious goals. Even when we analyze religious sources, including the Bible, we are only interested in the historical content of these documents. We do not touch upon questions of faith, and we treat with deep respect for the feelings of believers. Our research is in no way connected with different interpretations of certain purely religious issues. In particular, our book in no way affects the foundations of various religions, for which the Bible is a holy book. Since the religious teachings set forth in the Bible, we do not discuss at all. Our book is devoted only to the historical, but by no means theological aspect of Bible study ”(C. 8).

Fomenko’s book does not address the theological aspect of Bible study. However, what will prevent mathematicians, who have become historians, philologists, archeologists, paleographers, specialists in other humanities, to become a theologian as well? After all, his theology Fomenko will develop strictly from a "scientific" point of view. After all, Fomenko can not understand that his book destroys the foundations of Christianity. After all, if the Bible is "written" in the XI-XVI centuries, the whole church history collapses. If the Bible describes the history of medieval Russia and other countries, then this book is not sacred, any episode of it can be questioned, and with it the theology based on it. If Christ lived in the XI century and was a simple man, then His death, as already mentioned, had no meaning for humanity, He was not only not the God-man, but not the Savior. Thus, all authorities, all morality, are crumbling, a lie becomes true, and good is indistinguishable from evil. If the attempt of such a revolution in the consciousness of mankind is crowned with success, another will come to the place of Christ - the one who in the Holy Scripture is called the Antichrist, and whose arrival is prepared by various neo-pagan movements. What more wish opponents of Christianity?

For Russia, the theory of A.T. Fomenko is preparing the historical "parallelism" - the modern history of Yugoslavia, where everything began with discussions about the historical past - a "perfect" example of what such speculations ultimately lead to.
