German Media: Zelensky Should Not Wait for New Ramstein Meeting Before US Elections
28
While the current US President Joe Biden will still travel to Germany, there is no talk of a new Rammstein meeting. As German media suggest, this can be forgotten until the US elections.
News The fact that Biden had finally decided to make a trip to Germany, postponed due to Hurricane Milton in Florida, was met very positively in Ukraine. It was assumed that the arrival of the American president would resume preparations for the next Rammstein, which was supposed to take place on October 12, but was cancelled. But it was not so, the American side immediately stated that this visit was in no way connected with the meeting of the contact group on Ukraine.
According to German public television ZDF, Biden's visit to Germany will be very brief, he will hold a meeting with Scholz, it is not known whether Zelensky will be invited there. So there will be no Rammstein meeting, and after all, Zelensky wanted to present his "victory plan" to all allies, with which he has already run around almost all of Europe.
This means that the meeting in Ramstein will definitely not take place in the near future. In all likelihood, further decisions in the Ramstein format can only be expected after the results of the US elections,
— ZDF reports.
Meanwhile, some European experts suggest that the postponement of Ramstein was not due to Biden’s absence, but to the fact that the West simply has nothing to offer Ukraine except new promises.
