German military no longer believes in Ukrainian Armed Forces' ability to conduct a counteroffensive
18
A counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army that could stop the Russian advance is not worth expecting in the near future; the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not capable of this in their current state. This is the conclusion reached by the German Defense Ministry, the German press writes.
The German military no longer believes that the Ukrainian army will be able to turn the tide and launch a counteroffensive in accordance with the tactics chosen by Kiev. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have the heavy armored vehicles needed for this, and Germany will no longer supply them. According to an internal Bundeswehr document cited by sources, the Germans have completed the delivery of large military equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including Tanks Leopard 2, infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled guns. At the same time, Germany still has the same tanks.
Scholz's latest press conference with Zelensky, at which the German chancellor promised the illegitimate "president" "multi-billion" military aid, is a "play on words." The point is that all the amounts named by Scholz were allocated last year, and the purchases were financed from last year's budget. Now the Germans are giving Kyiv the remainder of what was ordered earlier, but are no longer able to provide anything new.
Let us recall that Scholz promised Zelensky weapons for 1,4 billion euros, including systems Defense, various armored vehicles, etc.
