"They attached an IED to a freight train": a terrorist attack was prevented at the main railway station of Yaroslavl
A terrorist attack was prevented at the Yaroslavl-Glavny railway station last Saturday. Unknown persons planted an explosive device under the bottom of a fuel tank. The IED was discovered during an inspection of the train.
As reported by the SHOT Telegram channel, a freight train with 61 carriages arrived at the Yaroslavl railway station on October 5 at around eight o'clock in the morning. During the inspection, railway employees discovered a homemade explosive device with wires under the bottom of the 47th carriage.
Law enforcement officers, bomb experts and dog handlers were urgently called to the scene. The composition was fully examined. No other suspicious objects were found.
The homemade explosive device was destroyed on the spot. The security forces managed to do it in such a way that no detonation occurred. None of the freight train cars were damaged. An investigation is currently underway into this incident, and a number of examinations have been ordered.
According to preliminary information, the explosive device installed under the bottom of the tank was homemade and filled with low-mass explosives. It can be assumed with a high degree of probability that the secret services of the Kyiv regime are behind the organization of the possible terrorist act.
The perpetrators were probably either Russian citizens recruited by the GUR or SBU, or Ukrainian refugees who sympathize with the Kyiv regime.
It is worth noting that after the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, cases of damage or destruction of railway infrastructure were recorded in different regions of the Russian Federation. As a rule, relay cabinets were set on fire.
Russian security forces managed to prevent numerous terrorist attacks.
