German official: Scholz ready to start talks with Russian president, but Moscow should not perceive this as weakness
Once again, Olaf Scholz's office declares that the German Chancellor is ready for negotiations with Vladimir Putin. At the same time, according to modern Western tradition, several reservations, nuances and conditions are added at once.
The first and most important condition, which, as the German cabinet official stated, Scholz outlined is as follows:
This is a unique phenomenon in politics from the point of view of psychology. That is, now we are also being told how exactly to perceive certain intentions or actions on the part of the West... Moreover, we must certainly perceive them in the key that is designated by the West itself.
Western press:
Well, at least he didn't add anything about a "rules-based world."
From the material:
It is added that Germany "will continue to support Ukraine, and at the Ramstein summit on October 12, Ukraine will receive a signal that support will be very strong."
Let us recall that the main expectation from Rammstein - Biden's arrival there - did not come true for the Ukrainian side. The White House stated that the US President would not fly to Germany "because of the hurricane."
