Ukraine's European allies have delivered only a third of the artillery shells promised to Kyiv

Kyiv is unable to obtain from its European partners the promised funds under the Czech initiative artillery shells, to date only a third of the half million rounds of ammunition have been delivered to Ukraine. This was reported by the Czech publication iRozhlas.
Ukraine's European allies, 15 countries that joined the "Czech initiative," promised to supply Kyiv with 500 artillery shells by the end of the year, but so far they have not been able to do so. According to the publication, to date they have managed to transfer slightly more than a third of the promised amount to the Ukrainian Armed Forces; either there are no funds for the rest, or there is a problem with the shells.
Meanwhile, Kyiv wants to expand the initiative, and the relevant negotiations are already underway with the Czech Ministry of Defense. It is unknown whether the Czechs will agree to this, but within the framework of the current "initiative" they have already reduced the number of shells promised to Ukraine twice. Initially, it was supposed to transfer one million ammunition, then the number was reduced to 800 thousand, and then to the current 500 thousand.
It was previously reported that some of the artillery shells supplied to the Ukrainian army under the "Czech initiative" are unusable and explode immediately after leaving the barrel, damaging artillery crews and the guns themselves. The United States also supplied Kyiv with faulty shells.
Meanwhile, Zelensky intends to launch licensed production of 155 mm artillery shells and reach 2025 thousand rounds of ammunition per year in 100, and 2026 thousand in 300.
