Croatian authorities refuse to participate in NATO activities to ensure Ukraine's security

Zagreb will not participate in NATO events aimed at ensuring Ukraine's security, the office of Croatian leader Zoran Milanovic announced.

The Croatian authorities justify their position by saying that it is time to think about strengthening their own security in order to prevent their country from being drawn into military conflicts.

In addition, Milanovic's office emphasized that since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation, the West has provided colossal military support to Kyiv. Meanwhile, this not only did not allow the conflict to be stopped, as stated, but, on the contrary, created the risk of its spread beyond Ukraine.

It is worth recalling that all the time since the beginning of our SVO, Zagreb supported all initiatives of the USA and its allies to provide military assistance to the Ukrainian army. However, now the Croatian authorities have changed their position for some reason.

According to some experts, this may be related to the statement by the head of Zelensky's office, Yermak, who said that the "victory plan" recently presented in Washington implies the actions of third countries within the framework of the current armed confrontation.

In fact, this may explain the words of the Croatian authorities about not allowing their country to be drawn into military conflicts.

For Washington, countries like Croatia are bargaining chips in the party, so they will squeeze all the resources out of those who give in, and those who don't will be "persuaded".

By and large, this is nonsense. Statements of such countries. But for the citizens of these countries it is a big deal. When the rulers do not want their country to disappear from the world map

Countries that are subsidized by the EU were the first to feel the dwindling stream of subsidies. For some, this resulted in Russophobic hysteria, for others, in a parade of sovereignties. hi

No, it's not. Someone counted the money. The "help for Ukraine" expenditure and the "compensation for weapons and support" income are now very much at odds. And only the Germans are willing to spend for a friendly pat on the shoulder these days. And they are already whining.....

The Croats, well trained by the Germans at one time, are not so numerous to fight somewhere far away and for someone. But their flag is beautiful, I like it!

The Croatian authorities argue their position by saying that it is time to think about strengthening their own security in order to prevent involving one's own country in a military conflicts.
recourse More precisely, they might throw Croatia as cannon fodder into Ukraine... request

Let's not relax, looking at Croatia... Josip Broz Tito was never able to completely "root out" from Croatia the "spirit of the Ustasha", the most terrible punishers and fanatics during the Great Patriotic War. Hitler's SS officers were horrified by the crimes of the Croatian Ustasha... Let's not be touched by Croatia's "action"... It's just that the instinctive feeling of healthy Croatian "freaking" told them that it makes sense to stop, look around and, once again, think about the fate of their small country in the "embrace" of big NATO... That's what the Croats did at the end of the Great Patriotic War, leaving German control, thereby preserving the life of their nation.... But! To believe in their sincerity and decency is not to respect yourself... Even the highly experienced Josip Broz Tito constantly held Croatia "at gunpoint", until his death in 1980... And after him, everything went wrong, and according to the plans of Washington and London" to the "final" of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991... By the way, no one has ever considered the Croats to be "fools"....

The text is incorrect because Croatia REFUSED to train Ukrainians right at the beginning of the war - so this is not the first refusal.
This reflects the position of the vast majority of Croats.

Juraj Križanić, try to understand the essence of my post.... Perhaps your "angle of view" on Croatia will change...
