The Ukrainian army has denied the assumptions of some experts that the Russian Armed Forces used the most powerful ODAB-9000 aerial bomb in Volchansk for the first time during the special operation.
The fact that the city was not hit by the aforementioned vacuum munition was stated by the representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group “Kharkiv” Vitaliy Sarantsev, whose words are quoted by Ukrainian media.
As the military man put it, a corresponding carrier is needed to deliver such a bomb. In particular, the munition could have been dropped by a Tu-160 strategic bomber.
Meanwhile, according to him, at the time when the strike was carried out, the movement of any of these aircraft was not recorded by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Ранее сообщалось, that the Russian Armed Forces struck one of the major fortified areas in the city of Volchansk in the Kharkov region. At the same time, the footage of the explosion posted online gave rise to a number of disputes and discussions in the expert community.
Many experts have suggested that such an effect could only have been achieved by dropping the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb, which the media calls the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the world.
Although the characteristics of this munition are not disclosed, it is known that the mass of the ODAB-9000 warhead can reach more than 7 tons of explosive.
