Looks like a Typhoon-U based on the Ural.

This is an armored car of the Typhoon-VDV family. The module is very similar to the standard Typhoon-M based on the BTR-82 for the Strategic Missile Forces. Who knows, maybe they modified it for the BMDS? I have not seen such a hybrid before either. The VDV has a different "gun".

This is an armored vehicle of the Typhoon-VDV family.

Typhoon-VDV has a 4x4 wheel arrangement (two axles), and this is Ural-63095 6x6 (three axles). Previously designed for the Russian Guard. But it also came in handy for the Strategic Missile Forces, because having weapons capable of destroying civilization on the planet, the antediluvian BTR-60 is used as a patrol vehicle.

When was the last time you saw a BTR-60 in the Strategic Missile Forces?
In the 29th RD (Irkutsk), decommissioned BTR-70s stood near almost every sandbox (hulls on wheels) - for kids to have fun, since the XNUMXs. Now they have been removed (apparently - for scrap metal)...
I often agree with your opinion. But here you clearly went too far (to say the least).

Personally, I handed them over to the factory in 2004.

Agree, do you know where these armored personnel carriers were listed before you accepted them?
Another remark: I can't vouch for the date, - approximately, - 95... (+-). Our ensigns (mechanics-water PU PGRK), were sent to... Arsenals with alcohol canisters with the purpose of taking possession of GAZ-66 engines (in Chistye Klyuchi, - there is a participant from there on the forum...). How, under what circumstances the missile division lost engines on combat support vehicles, is a separate topic.
...There is enough strength, I repeat...

So, there was a typical episode - the division commander returns from a trip to the division's BSP (combat launch positions), and, standing at a crossroads, observes a scene: KamAZ trucks (with the numbers of his division, and there are no others there) are being dragged on a hard stage not by an armored personnel carrier (to remove the engines), but by GAZ-AA (in the "Katyusha" version, towed artillery systems...
How they tried to "give these ensigns a kick in the pants!"
... These exhibits still stand in our "town" (it has long been a microdistrict of the city).
And I am pleased, - the ensign, - They were mine!!! hi

            hi

Ah, - apparently, the one who downvoted was the one who still drives a BTR-60!)))
I repeat: I quit before the turn of the century. I personally (stupidly, - there weren't enough soldiers, literate ones, - especially!!) rode through most of the exercises on the BTR-70! The Strategic Missile Forces, for those who don't know, have their own specifics - the KG PP (commander of the group for training and launching officers, warrant officers in subordination) has more than "fighters"! According to the staff (almost), - in implementation, - even less...
            And the technology, sometimes complex...
See the text of the article: "3000 military units, -300 units of equipment...".

In 1984, he began his service in the Strategic Missile Forces with the rank of lieutenant, preparing the first PGRK with an ICBM named "Topol" for deployment on combat missions. Even then, BTR-70s were on the payroll, if anyone is interested, in addition to other tasks, they served as "spacers" on the march of the RDF. They were placed between the APUs, which followed one another, so that God forbid the launchers would not "kiss" each other with their heads with the nuclear warhead in the TPK of the one in front. By the way, in January we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the regiment. How quickly time flies

Not quite so, colleague, - PU (even though it was secret information then (later, - even the media released video footage of the columns being built... Now, many residents of the Irkutsk region can see them...

Sorry, - not "gaskets", - well, we had such a destructive... nickname!! Prefixes, - - Yes! And, - between them there were MAZ-543s, other support vehicles... Remember!!!
As a BUT (chief of the 2nd section), I often had to bring up the rear of the column. The traffic cops worked on their own frequency, which was inaccessible to the 7th and 6th links; there was a time when they used pagers (the youth can do that!!)...
So, there were a couple, -
the mech-water team - "Crush the freak!" ... They squeezed out the mass of the long unit, the coordination of the calculation ... Once
I had to shoot... Not from a PKT. From a PM. Through the open door of the MOBD BO... Already, - the winner of the "Niva" wheel... I don't know, - maybe, - there, in the "Niva", there were normal guys... I had no time for showdowns, - when three nuclear-powered loaves of bread were walking in front...
Maybe they are patriots, but then they are very drunk...
Sorry, there was no time to analyze the situation...
The task was set - We accomplished it!!
Somewhere here in the texts under the article it slipped through... Or, in the article itself... Have you completely lost your mind there?
RVSN (it was always written down everywhere.... In the BU, Doctrines..., - RVSN, - Troops of Permanent Combat Readiness!!! (only the level of readiness can change!!). Or, - is it not so now?!
Yeah)))... It's scary to think - he retired more than 25 years ago!!!
The children of my colleagues are already retiring... hi

the Russian Ministry of Defense reports on its Telegram channel.

It seems like there was some information about the telegram recently. That the Brits put pressure on it, and now they have all the levers of control over this network.
Why couldn't the Russian Defense Ministry report this in some more Russian media outlets? Is TASS in a new interpretation already? Does no one take it seriously?
    Kremlin channels too?
