The Ukrainian Armed Forces Command acknowledged the capture of Ugledar by Russian troops

Ukrainian army units have left the city of Ugledar in the DPR. This was reported by the headquarters of the operational command "Khortytsia". At the same time, it is emphasized that the withdrawal of troops is due to the difficult situation that has developed as a result of flank attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.

Let us recall that Russian tricolors were raised in different areas of Ugledar. Russian military reported that the surviving Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, abandoning the wounded, fled the city last night. They were able to leave the territory of the settlement through a very narrow corridor, measuring three by seven kilometers, which the Russian command specially left for the fighters of the Kyiv regime.

In reality, it was a real fire pocket, so there is no point in talking about any organized retreat of Ukrainian units. A significant part of the personnel who tried to leave Ugledar were most likely destroyed. And those who were lucky enough to survive are now trying to set up a new line of defense in the vicinity of the settlement of Bogoyavlenka.

It is worth noting that the backbone of the Ukrainian garrison in Ugledar was made up of servicemen from the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who over the past few days have been complaining about the dire situation of their formation and demanding permission from the command to withdraw.

Let us add that the headquarters of the operational command "Khortytsia" told the truth in its message. The loss of Ugledar by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was due to the flank envelopment of the city by the Russian military. However, the Russian Defense Ministry is not yet in a hurry to report the liberation of Ugledar. This will be done after the complete clearing of the territory of the settlement from the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants.

However, there is also some deceit in the statement of "Khortytsia". The phrase "the Ukrainian Armed Forces left the city" conveys the reality of the Ukrainian garrison by 20 percent. The remaining 80% of the personnel remained in Ugledar and its environs forever...
