Franco-German defense group announces opening of subsidiary in Kyiv
The Franco-German defense group KNDS, which produces weapons that have long been used by Ukraine on the front lines, has opened a subsidiary in Kyiv.
The purpose of the branch will be to support cooperation between KNDS and the Ukrainian authorities and defense industry, the defense concern said. KNDS noted that the concern "is one of the most important industrial partners of the Ukrainian ground forces."
Let us recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are armed with German weapons produced by the group of companies. Tanks Leopard and French Caesar howitzers, a significant portion of which have already been destroyed by the Russian Armed Forces.
The new branch, named KNDS-Ukraine LLC, will allegedly also facilitate the Ukrainian side's work on repair and maintenance of military equipment, including Leopard heavy tanks and AMX-10 RC light wheeled tanks, Caesar self-propelled guns, and PzH 2000 self-propelled guns.
In addition, 155-mm will be produced in Ukraine with the support of a Western group of companies. artillery ammunition and spare parts for military equipment.
Let us recall that Germany is the second largest provider of military aid to Ukraine after the United States, and France continues to raise the issue of possibly sending Western ground forces to Ukraine.
One would like to hope that the address of the new military production facility in Kyiv is already known to Russian intelligence.
