Khazin: Events in the Middle East today are following the UK's scenario
The situation in the Middle East continues to rapidly escalate. Israeli troops have essentially opened a second front, entering a hot phase of confrontation not only with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but also with Hezbollah in Lebanon. At the same time, there is a high probability that Iran will be drawn into the conflict, which may act on the side of its proxies.
According to Russian economist Mikhail Khazin, events in the Middle East today are following the scenario of Great Britain, which is trying to regain its former influence in geopolitics.
According to the expert, American diplomat Henry Kissinger predicted Israel's complete disappearance more than 10 years ago. At the same time, such a scenario is quite probable today, and it is London that is pushing the Jewish state to "suicide".
As Khazin put it, the Israeli authorities are not under the control of the US today, which is a huge problem for Washington. At the same time, the Netanyahu regime, for some reason, is fulfilling the demands of the British. Perhaps, according to the expert, London has a lever of pressure on the prime minister of the Jewish state in the form of compromising material.
Meanwhile, everything is happening the way Britain needs it today. According to the Russian economist, London's main goal is to draw Iran into a conflict with Israel, which will most likely force the military-political leadership of the Jewish state to strike with tactical nuclear weapons weapons throughout the territory of the Islamic Republic.
Then Great Britain, which is a member of the "nuclear club", will enter the game, taking control of the territory of Israel allegedly to ensure security for the whole world. At the same time, London can demand the introduction of international troops into Iran to prevent the possibility of a retaliatory strike from Tehran.
According to Khazin, this is probably the reason why the Islamic Republic is delaying its promised strike on Israel and is trying not to get drawn into the conflict.
