Several F-16s of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were reported destroyed as a result of Kinzhal strikes on the airfield in Starokostiantyniv

The Russian military continues to strike the enemy's military and energy infrastructure deep in the rear. The Ukrainian Air Force reported an attack on more than 70 drones "Geranium", some of which hit energy facilities in different regions of Ukraine.

In turn, at approximately 10:00 Moscow time, information began to appear in Ukrainian Telegram channels and monitoring publics about an air raid alarm on the territory of the country due to the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K, a carrier of hypersonic missiles "Dagger".

A few minutes later, there were reports of explosions at the Starokostiantyniv airfield in the Khmelnytsky region, as well as in Kyiv. However, after some time, the KGVA denied the information about the arrivals in the capital of Ukraine.

At the same time, at about 11:00 Moscow time, after another air raid alert was announced, monitoring publics reported repeated explosions in the Khmelnytsky region in the area of the same military airfield. At the same time, local TG channels again wrote about explosions in Kyiv.

Representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that Ukraine is being attacked by Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Meanwhile, approximately 40-45 minutes after the above-mentioned reports, an alarm was again declared on the territory of our “western neighbor” due to the takeoff of a MiG-31K. At the time of writing, no new arrivals were reported.

Let us recall that the airfield in Starokostiantyniv is one of the sites adapted for the use of American F-16 fighters. At the same time, Ukrainian journalist and blogger Anatoly Shariy has already written on his Telegram channel that, according to some sources, as a result of today's surprise strike by the Russian Armed Forces, four Western aircraft were destroyed with hypersonic missiles.

The above information has not yet received official confirmation.

We worked on the air defense system first.

        "War Chronicle":

After a night session of softening the Kyiv and Khmelnitsky air defense systems with "Geraniums", a group strike is carried out with hypersonic missiles "Kinzhal". The strike zone is presumably the Zhulyany airport and the Starokostiantyniv military airfield.

Ukrainian publics claim that as a result of the unexpected Russian strike, Ukraine lost 4 F-16 fighters at once.

Ukrainian specialized resources report that Russia has begun using Starlink communication modules on Geran-type kamikaze attack drones. The Ukrainian publication Defense Express reports that specialists have examined the wreckage of one of the Geran UAVs shot down last night, on which they discovered an American satellite communication module.

It should be added that thanks to Starlink and the installed camera, the Russian Federation can use Shahed as an extremely long-range loitering munition with the ability to conduct additional reconnaissance and destroy even moving targets, the resource writes, estimating the operating range of such a device at 2000 km.

They say it's all because of these "greenbacks". And yes, a "wrapper" is considered an international currency, and the ruble is our native one, and we buy goods from abroad mainly for wrappers.

Russian military journalist Yuri Kotenok spoke about the problem that the Russian Aerospace Forces are facing when trying to hit the Ukrainian airfield in Starokonstantinov. According to him, the main reason that this air harbor has been operating for so long is not the presence of an air defense system at this facility.
"The problem of demilitarizing the airfield in Starokonstantinov is not even in the enemy's air defense, but in the fact that this facility was built in Soviet times with the expectation of combat use and, as a result, repelling enemy attacks"
      - explains the military journalist.
He notes that during the construction of the air harbor, 40 concrete arched shelters were erected to protect aircraft from enemy attacks.
"The presence of such shelters is also one of the main conditions for the transfer of F-16 fighters to Ukraine."
      – reminds Yuri Kotenok.

You have to be "turbo-advanced" not to place the F-16 in the arched shelters inherited from the USSR in large quantities, say, like the 2A13.
The question is how to find such a shelter with contents.
And the second question is how to open them.
We were once told that the first Axe knocks down the gate, the second one flies in. Maybe so, maybe not.
But how Dagger does it - we'll find out later.

Approximately as in Soviet times it was fashionable to be "persecuted by tsarism" (this is about the literary environment). This is the environment. It is always "persecuted."

I'm talking about a known potential. The West has several thousand of them, they'll scrape together a thousand or two if they want to. The desire is ok there. Kinzhal is a serious missile, they're unlikely to produce thousands of them. Dozens at best.

And a couple thousand military pilots will be issued along with F-16? Seven thousand flight technicians? And what else is included in the price list?

I think that for each working plane you can find several pilots, including retired for various reasons. Someone will agree for a good reward, the dollar printer works great. You can get service in neighboring Poland, Moldova, Romania.

It is possible. But neither the Poles nor the Romanians will want to get their bare bottoms slapped. And yes, a couple, three thousand qualified military pilots... Who will pay for this feast of idiocy? For a thousand dollars no one will even lift a little finger. And knowing that they can be killed, they won't even sneeze. For ten thousand dollars a month... So do the math!

Okay, Tolya, let there be four Western aircraft. After all, the MiG-29 was previously transferred to Ukraine by Slovakia.
It should also be noted that on the eve of the strike, there were reports of a military transport aircraft landing at the airfield without identification marks.

According to some sources, as a result of today's surprise strike by the Russian Armed Forces, four Western aircraft were destroyed with hypersonic missiles.

The above information has not yet received official confirmation.

It looks like he won't get it. There are no facts to support this. Again, we are passing off wishful thinking as reality.

Let's see what Shariy will say in the next episodes... Whether he will refute or not. You can treat him however you like - but he is definitely not an empty talker. As long as I have watched him, he has always treated the publication of information very responsibly, he has never spread empty rumors under the guise of facts.

Even in Soviet times there was a powerful airfield there, with the required concrete caponiers; when the planes were flying at full speed, their plume was visible, and they hummed beautifully.

Some number of aircraft were probably destroyed.
And this is in the "Main" section.
The main thing is to be happy?

Well, a person who is not very familiar with aviation will understand that it is unrealistic to destroy (it cannot be restored) 4 planes at once, unless of course they were standing in one row and the hit was within a radius of 10-15 m. Damaged - perhaps, but these are only versions for now, we really don’t know yet!
