"The enemy is attempting counterattacks": the Ministry of Defense reports battles in the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts of the Kursk region

The North group of troops continues to conduct offensive operations, inflicting defeats on enemy formations located in the Kursk region. This is stated in the new report of the Ministry of Defense on the situation in this direction.

According to published data, there are no major changes on the front line in the Kursk region, if there is any progress, it is most likely tactical. Both sides have dug in their heels and are engaged in fierce battles. In the main offensive zone, our troops are trying to move forward, but the enemy is not letting us do so. The situation is similar in the Glushkovsky district, but the other way around. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to break through, and our troops are destroying them.

According to the latest data, both sides are bringing up reserves, since the situation cannot be corrected with the available forces. According to the report, our forces are attacking in the Korenevsky district near Lyubimovka, Dar'ino, Zeleny Shlyakh, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Tolsty Lug, Malaya Loknya and in Sudzhansky near Plekhovo. That is, compared to yesterday, there are practically no changes. Information is coming in that battles are continuing for the bridgehead on the bank of the Snagost River, from where our forces are planning to attack Sverdlikovo. The enemy, in turn, tried to counterattack in the direction of Kremyanoye, Lyubimovka and Malaya Loknya.

In the Glushkovsky district, four attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through in the direction of Novy Put and Medvezhye have been repelled. According to unofficial sources, UAV crews are working very powerfully here, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering their main losses from them. The Ministry of Defense confirms the destruction of a German tank Leopard 2 and three Swedish CV-90 IFVs. The enemy is expected to increase pressure in this area in the near future, bringing fresh forces into the battle.

The destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves continues, and the aviation, artillery and missilemen. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the operation to destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations continues.

The more of their strike units we can grind down there now, the easier it will be later, in general, a repetition of the scenario of the two previous years of the war, the battles for Artemovsk and Soledar, as well as the repulse of the "counteroffensive" of 2023 begins. With one big difference, the enemy does not have enough reserves now to cover all directions, which is what our command is using, making an advance on one or another section of the front

Neo, my dear friend from BF, have you really learned what a tank is that you are going to a military forum? Is it not so comfortable anymore on BF? You are going in the wrong direction again, reserves, that is, the question is in the trained reserves. What Ukraine has problems with in connection with the practice of military service that was carried out at the time, which I told you about by the way.

Has it ever occurred to you that the "grinding" (an absolutely stupid term coined by propagandists) goes both ways? Or do you think that we have cyborgs with 10 lives, and they have only half-drunk Tarases with drooping moustaches?

It already seems that what is needed is not a complete victory over the Nazi regime, but the exhaustion of Russia in a protracted war, and this very “grinding”, first of all, of the Russian-speaking population, Russians, on both sides.

There is such a thing, only here they come to replace us VOLUNTARILY, and here they are driven in and they undergo training for different periods of time. Although we also have enough problems. But the overall quality of our personnel is higher.

I don't want to sound cynical, but what you call "voluntary" is, to put it mildly, not quite so (people are motivated by different factors, not only ideological ones, including money). Ideological volunteers went to the front en masse in the first months of the Central Military District. At the same time, I would like to draw attention to the fact that reserves are created en masse and quickly (by the way, this was also the case during the Great Patriotic War) not at the expense of volunteers, but at the expense of mobilization, which can only be carried out by the state machine.

Well, well, well, they have been telling us this for the third year already. They have an endless mobilization going on, according to our media, which means that there are still reserves and will be.

If this were so, they would not have allowed our advances in Donbass and the South, as they did before. Wherever they are now introducing reserves, these are in fact the same brigades that are being transferred from one place to another to close the "holes", but this cannot continue for long.
Yes, they have several more brigades, newly reformed from the TRO brigades, but they themselves admit their low combat capability.

Yes, they have several more brigades.

How much is a few? There was information recently on VO that the VSU still has several dozen brigades in reserve and there are quite a few troops on the border with the Republic of Belarus. And judging by the fact that the front in the LPR and DPR is not crumbling and in the Kursk region the VSU constantly counterattacks with reserves, things are not so bad for them.

It doesn’t fall apart there because we don’t have enough troops, the number of our forces deployed in the Northern Military District has never exceeded that of Ukraine, and we should also have some reserves, throwing everyone into battle now is unprofessional.

So, based on your words, our troops are not enough there? Does that mean that if suddenly the VSU introduces some reserves, our RF Armed Forces will have to demonstrate a "gesture of good will" again?

I believe that our troops are not enough. On Kursk. If there were enough, they would not have struck in the side on our territory, but would have struck on the territory of Ukraine, if you look at the map there is a crossroad of two roads almost at the border, cut it and the whole group is in a cauldron. On other fronts, I believe that they do not make envelopments because there is no one.

It was not without reason that they decided to increase the number of Armed Forces. The forces are currently insufficient to conduct deep offensive operations, and even after the increase there will not be many of them, considering the overall length of the front

I hope we can do without this, we also have some ready and preparing reserves. One of my friends went on a contract, so he has been training in the rear for a month and a half already and he is far from alone there. And thank God, they devote a lot of time to fire and medical training, not forgetting about tactics...

The issue of training. To make it clear to you, because you don't know the situation from the inside, as a former citizen of Ukraine I say: they didn't teach you anything in the army. You could serve and never fire a machine gun. The best part is artillery.
My windows don't exactly overlook the village of Perevalnoye in the Simferopol district. But when the wind blows towards me and there is shooting, I hear it. But not in Ukraine. While working part-time in Sevastopol, I climbed into Khersones without paying, the guards tracked me down, so I ran away through the military unit, the soldiers even told me where to get out, I walked in the cold.
Now tell me, how long does it take, for example, to train a grenade launcher? How long does it take a driver mechanic to train?

Regarding the reserves, everyone has known for a long time. Writing all sorts of fairy tales about their exhaustion is not respecting yourself. The population of Ukraine is 20 million. There is absolutely no problem scraping together 10% of the meat. Then divide this amount by the average number of those ground per day and you will get 2000 days of war. This is the minimum, without taking into account tourists. And what is brewing next, I think you do not need to explain.

It only remains to find out how many of them are left there now and to find the necessary amount of heavy weapons for them, this is already a problem for them, because some of the new brigades have been formed as infantry, awaiting weapons deliveries from abroad.

It remains to find out, it remains to find - it's all a shot in the dark. No one will say this, and if intelligence reports it, it's not a fact that it will get there in time and the fifth column won't fit in, as it did with Kursk. That's right, the process of forming brigades is ongoing and hasn't stopped yet. The issue of supplying weapons is not even on the table, this process is continuous.

This village was the first point of attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Korenevo and it, apparently, may become the last one for the Ukrainian group in this area.
