Having lost the initiative in the Kursk region, the enemy is once again throwing into battle the special forces units that it withdrew to preserve the situation after the breakthrough in the first ten days of August.
After information emerged about threats to dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky from the head of Zelensky's office (Yermak), the Ukrainian command decided to send new units to break through in the southwest of the Kursk region.
Let us recall that information about threats to Syrsky from Yermak appeared this week, and now it has become known that the enemy has once again thrown its special forces units, considered elite, into battle. Some of these units participated in the border breakthrough on August 6, and then they were mostly withdrawn - replaced by regular combined arms brigades.
One of the areas of deployment of Ukrainian special operations forces units is the Glushkovsky district. The enemy, having failed to develop success in the Vesyoloye area, is trying to break through our defense in other places. At the same time, information is coming in about the destruction of several Ukrainian special forces groups in the Wolfino area, as well as to the east of this settlement in the Kursk region.
As a result of strikes on one of the Ukrainian special forces groups, several "breakthroughs" were eliminated, including the commander of the special forces group Yevgeny Lemeshenko. His elimination is confirmed by Ukrainian media.
The reintroduction of special operations forces and units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine into the Kursk region shows how much the Kiev regime is betting on occupying part of our region's territory. It is important for Zelensky to have a trump card in his hands before his trip to the United States. The component of this trump card has begun to melt away over the past week, when the Russian Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive and liberated several settlements in the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts. That is, Kyiv is going, if not all-in, then ready to make a big bet.
