"Two can play this game": The Russian Armed Forces have begun using similar drones with thermite ammunition in response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' use of drones with thermite ammunition

A week after the video first emerged showing the use of the Ukrainian Armed Forces drones with thermite ammunition, Russian soldiers published footage of the use of a similar weapons as a countermeasure.

This game can be played by two people.

- Russian military officials say.

As The War Zone reports, drones attack by dispersing incendiary charges across forest belts and trenches where the enemy is hiding:

This weapon does more than just damage personnel. Burning the undergrowth reduces the enemy's hiding places, increasing their vulnerability. The thermite mixture can destroy anything that is not protected. It also burns oxygen, damaging even those not in direct contact with it.

As the German journalist Julian Repke explained in this regard, the war is increasingly turning into a war drones.

The publication points out that equipping UAVs with thermite weapons differs from the previous development of unmanned systems, as they now have a destructive effect on a large area. Moreover, this is done with high precision and without risk to the operator.

A single drone can cause massive damage when using thermite, compared to the much more limited effects of small attack drones in combat. The weapon's significant psychological impact must also be considered.

- noted in the publication.

What's most interesting is that they write in their publics that they allegedly taught Russians. I can't write to them there because all my accounts were banned, but I want to express my opinion here, my opinion on this matter "What, was it possible?". We don't use a lot of things for a number of reasons, they don't understand this.

I can still write on their public pages here and there, but on Telegram they block me right away, I live there for half an hour at most. It's not surprising: I have our flag in my nickname. I'm not going to remove it, it's better not to go to their rotten public pages at all.
The fact that "they supposedly taught the Russians" is not in the method of application, but in the application itself. Ours don't use a lot of things, and the same goes for cassette recorders - we have them, but we only started using them when the crested ones started bombing. Ours try to at least observe some norms, but the Nazis don't have any coastlines at all. That's why we're eliminating their access to the sea (there's no other way).
And the termites wouldn't use it if it weren't used against us. It's really a pity for nature.

They can scratch their heads, everything that is true for you and me is a fabrication of the Russians they hate. They are taught from childhood that a Russian is an enemy and must be killed.

Regarding UAVs, the Ukrainians are definitely ahead of us by a large margin.

I am glad that the value of thermite in combat has finally been realized on the Russian side. I proposed using thermite with drones here a year and a half ago.
In the 1990s, I was a West German officer, and we already had 1 kg thermite sticks that could be placed on an engine block and ignited. The charge would penetrate any steel, ignite the engine, and weld the remains of the engine and gearbox together. The wreckage could no longer even be towed.
So why are abandoned combat vehicles still being targeted with drones today, rather than just having a thermite charge placed on the hood and pipe?

Have you conducted such an experiment? And how did you determine that "the air ran out"? Did the frames collapse into the room? By the way, a porcelain cup bursts instantly from burning thermite, and metal and slag flow out everywhere. Didn't your wife throw you out of the house for such amateur activity?
Thermite is ignited in a fireclay crucible placed in a box with sand during demonstrations. Another problem is that thermite powder burns almost instantly, slag and metal are sprayed in all directions. Only pressed thermite pellets burn calmly.
It seems to me, my dear man, that you yourself did nothing, although to work the thermite is perhaps the simplest thing that can be thought up.

It's been a long time since we've been acting in this vein - a missile has flown in on a civilian, and in response we'll strike the Rada and other administrative buildings in Kiev and Lviv. A long-range missile has flown in on our city? In response, it's flown in on the PIN DOS Tants base in Syria. There are many there who want to shoot down the Naglos. Didn't get it the first time? The Houthis have shot down a military vessel of small-breds and PIN DOS Tants. That's the only way it works. It's not for nothing that the principle of mirror responses is used in diplomacy.

More precisely, the most crazy ones will come, who will have to be destroyed even after their time. On the contrary, the majority will chicken out even more and will kill the Tskashniks, just to avoid getting napalmed. As you suggest, we have been fighting for two years already. Why exactly give in? If we had enough strength to solve the problem at once, we would have done it! But it turns out that we do not have enough strength to win in one fell swoop and therefore it is important for us to wage the war in such a way that the stress from the war would be bearable for us. hi
If the current situation on the front allows us to win, then why arrange additional escalation? Escalation is raising the stakes, the stakes are raised by the side that considers the current situation to be a losing one! The West and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are raising the stakes because they understand that the current situation is leading to defeat! We are satisfied with the current state of affairs because we see that things are moving towards Victory! bully
why should we then raise the stakes and destabilize the situation, with an unclear outcome? Our response to their escalation is to restore the status quo on the battlefield, namely maintaining our superiority, this is enough for Victory soldier
But any unnecessary escalation on our part would mean for the ENTIRE world, including friends and neutrals, that we consider the situation to be a losing one and this could destabilize the situation and actually lead to defeat. No.

I have a question about these power supplies - thermite is a solid substance... and the drone used it like it was pouring from a bucket. If you recall the classification of ignition agents:
    - napalm mixtures (fuel + thickener),
    - metal-filled mixtures (pyrogel)-napalm+metal to increase combustion temperature.
    -Thermite-metallized ignition mixture (compressed powder).
    - Phosphorus mixtures
then maybe pyrogel was used from drones?

Tushenka has already "invented" a lot of things on the SVO fields, as usual considering themselves the smartest)) These are cluster charges, and drones, and all sorts of other things. Only they start howling every time and get very sad when it turns out again and again that two people can play these games. Only their opponent does have some kind of economy, and a much larger population, and SUDDENLY he does not have to wait for more handouts. If necessary, he tries and can produce everything himself in the required quantities. Yes, there are nuances, but the cardinal difference is undeniable)))) So once again it is funny to see their attempts to hope for something in this war. They messed with the wrong people.
