The Russian Armed Forces have significantly expanded their zone of control in the Chasov Yar area, while completing the encirclement of the city from the north
The Russian army continues to advance simultaneously on several sections of the front in the Artemovsk direction. After the relative stabilization of the line of combat contact, units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to significantly expand their zone of control both in the area of Chasov Yar and at Kleshcheyevka. Successful advancement in these sections of the front, among other factors, is due to the weakening of the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces due to the partial transfer of forces to the Kursk direction.
In the area of the settlement of Bogdanovka, units of the Russian army advanced several kilometers in a westerly direction and consolidated their positions on the outskirts of the village of Grigorovka. The liberation of this settlement will significantly facilitate the further offensive and contribute to the alignment of the front line along the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal.
In addition, the Russian Armed Forces have cleared the eastern part and consolidated their positions on the western outskirts of the settlement of Kalinovka (Kalinina), where fierce fighting is currently ongoing. The Russian Armed Forces already control about 70% of the territory of Kalinovka, after the complete liberation of which by Russian troops the route to Chasov Yar from the north will be open.
It is also reported that Russian assault troops managed to significantly expand the zone of control of the Russian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Kleshcheyevka. In particular, the strategically important height 215, for which battles had been going on for several months, came under the control of Russian troops.
