Today, Russian troops, continuing to advance along several vectors at once, entered the settlements of Zhelannoe and Sergeevka in the area of ​​​​the railway to Pokrovsk, as well as Ivanovka to the north-west of the mentioned Progress.

Earlier, in the same direction, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Vesyoloye, which made it possible to get close to the village of Grodovka.

The battles for Zhelannoye make it possible to advance in the direction of the city of Novogrodovka, whose population before the start of the Northern Military District was about 15 thousand people. At the same time, Grodovka and Novogrodovka are part of the enemy’s defensive line, which is the last one east of the Pokrovskaya agglomeration.

In Novogrodovka itself, the enemy is trying to build defensive positions in the eastern part of the city, where there are multi-story buildings. This tactic of “defense” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is used in virtually any more or less large settlement in Donbass. Of course, it prolongs the battles, but it does not help maintain populated areas under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One of the recent pieces of evidence is Krasnogorovka, liberated by our troops.
