North of Kupyansk, units of the 116th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces found themselves in a fire pocket

Russian troops have stepped up their offensive north of Kupyansk. The offensive is coming from the settlements of Olshana and Liman Pervyi – from two directions.
To date, the main force opposing our troops in this sector of the front are units of the 116th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
For this brigade, which occupies the southern part of Sinkovka and surrounding territories, artillery and combat aviation RF Armed Forces. Artillery strikes come from two directions, and controlled air bombs are also dropped on positions.
As a result of successful actions, the Russian Armed Forces advanced in two sections to a depth of 1 km, systematically enveloping units of the 116th Brigade. In fact, the enemy in the Sinkovka area found himself in a fire bag created by the Russian army.
At the same time, Russian troops are advancing towards Kupyansk from the southeast. After the liberation of Stepova Novoselovka and Peschany, our troops have no more than 14-15 km left to the southern outskirts of the city. The roads in the direction of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy have already come under partial fire control of the Russian Armed Forces.
