Armenian press: Several countries demanded that Pashinyan remove Armenian satellites from orbit, allegedly interfering with the work of others

There is a scandal in Armenia, without exaggeration, of cosmic proportions; a number of countries have accused Yerevan of improperly launching two satellites into space, which are now interfering with the spacecraft of other countries. Sputnik-Armenia reports this with reference to the Zhoghovurd newspaper.

According to the publication, a number of countries, which are not named, demanded that Pashinyan return two Armenian satellites from orbit, which are disrupting the operation of spacecraft in other countries. Allegedly, they were launched into space unprofessionally, the orbits were not properly calculated, etc.

According to the newspaper “Zhoghovurd”, now all the blame is falling on the former Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of Armenia Avet Poghosyan, who oversaw the space program of Armenia. Before that, he worked as a taxi driver in the USA. At the moment, the taxi driver-minister has already been relieved of his position.

(...) Poghosyan’s supervision of the space sector and communications resulted in a lot of problems: according to experts, the Armenian satellites Hayasat-1 and Armsat-1 became a real disaster for the devices of other countries, disrupting their work.

- writes the edition.

It is noted that the Armsat-1 satellite, which was manufactured for Armenia by the Spanish company Satlantis, was launched in May 2022. Poghosyan claims that this is a private project related to Armenia only because of the license to carry out space activities. The second satellite, Hayasat-1, is the first Armenian-made satellite launched into orbit on December 1, 2023 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. It supposedly works fine.

Here I just had a question: why do Armenia need these satellites in general, what are they intended for? Many countries simply buy images of their territory from satellites of other countries for weather forecasts, forecasts of landslides, floods, etc. and do not consider this shameful. These countries are quite rich, but they believe that it is cheaper to buy images for them than to launch their satellites. And no ambitions stifle them. Armenian satellite recourse What for?

There is no need to look at Karabakh anymore. For 30 years, NOT a single Armenian politician has bothered to recognize Karabakh as Armenian territory.

In general, I have no respect for Armenians now. And Pashinyan will go down in history as Judas, for the betrayal of Karabakh.

Do the Armenians have their own means of delivering satellites into orbit, or did they travel by satellite? Perhaps an Armenian diaspora has formed there too.

      1. It was not Armenia that launched it, but the Yankees, from their Falcon Air Force base.
      2. And the name "Satlantis-Armsat1" indicates that the satellite was manufactured by the Spanish "Satlantis".
      3. The Armenian STATE supposedly developing company “CJSC “Geocosmos” does not exist.

          In general, a familiar mentality:
driving a passenger car, stopped in the middle of the road (sidewalk, pedestrian crossing) and went to the store to buy something. The fact that because of his car there are problems with travel - don't give a damn.

More likely. These satellites were the size of a ball, and the function of these devices was to receive and send signals. What kind of satellites could they place? Pashinyan launched them into space to fool her electorate, for show, saying that Armenia has also become a space country.

a number of countries accused Yerevan of improperly launching two satellites into space

I don’t understand this accent, why is Yerevan accused?
Is Armenia a space power? As far as I know - no. It does not launch satellites itself; this was carried out by third-party foreign companies, from foreign cosmodromes. They also made calculations for the launch. They also calculated geostationary orbits for Armenia.
Armenia just paid for it all
So why are the claims brought specifically against Armenia, and not against the contractors?

So why are the claims brought specifically against Armenia, and not against the contractors?

Elementary. When a technician, for example, changes some part in your TV, and after a couple of days the device stops working again, you do not make a claim against the board manufacturer.
