As terrorists, the Russian embassy blew up ...
The day of our group began today casually. As usual, we went to the suburb of Damascus Darayyu to shoot a report about what is happening there. A lot of us failed. The most memorable moment was, perhaps, when we were allowed onto the roof of a house freed from terrorists. While I was climbing the stairs, I found two Syrian passports - a young woman and a child. I immediately gave the passports to the military man who accompanied us, and I myself thought very strongly about how quickly people escaped from the terrorists from Daraya if they abandoned not only personal belongings, but even passports! And what are these people now.
As for the military component of the situation in Daray, there is a large-scale counter-terrorist operation. To date, the Syrian military has recaptured six high-rise buildings from militants. Losses of terrorists - 107 people. Of these, 8 are mercenaries from Pakistan. The losses of the Syrian army - one killed and 4 wounded. Familiar commander tank also boasted to us that he had eliminated 9 firing points from which his tank was fired from an RPG.
But the most interesting and at the same time awful today was not waiting for us in Darayya. When we were about to go home, they called us and said that an explosion had occurred directly at the Russian Embassy in Damascus. We immediately went there. Entrances to the embassy were blocked, so it took half an hour to get there. When we got to the place, we saw a real hell. And through this site we, by the way, go every day. A hundred meters from the fence of the Russian embassy right in the middle of the roadway there was a two meter deep funnel. Around the wrecked carcass lay around. There were pools of blood everywhere. The embassy building was also affected. On the second floor of one of the buildings all the windows were knocked out. But this was nothing to compare with the state of houses within a radius of several tens of meters from the explosion. There, in addition to all the glasses made more and overlap. The power of the explosive device, according to experts, was at least one ton of TNT. If the epicenter of the explosion was a hundred meters away, then our embassy would look like that now. More precisely what would be left of him.
The fact that the purpose of this terrorist bombing was precisely the building of the diplomatic mission of our country is beyond doubt. Heads of the Wahhabi-Salafist international bandit underground, like Sheikh Yusef al-Qaradawi, who were obsessed with everything, have long threatened our country for its firm position on the support of the Syrian people and the legitimate authority in Syria. Today threats come true. I am sure that this gangster trick will not remain without an adequate response from Moscow.
In addition to the terrorist attack at the Russian embassy, which killed more than 50 people, two more explosions thundered in Damascus today. One attack was still prevented. So the Syrian military arrested a suicide bomber who tried to drive to the city by car, in which there were 1,5 tons of explosives. Terrorist attacks against the civilian population are the only thing that the terrorists and their leaders were able to take against the background of significant successes of the Syrian army over the past two months. Apparently, the warriors of jihad are no longer in a position to fight with the military.
