Now supplies of M1A2 SEP v.3 tanks will begin: Poland has received all purchased M1A1 Abrams MBTs

The Polish Ministry of Defense reported that the last transport loaded with tanks M1A1 Abrams – the first one arrived in June 2023. Now the armed forces have received all 116 copies of this version.

In January 2023, Warsaw purchased 116 M1A1 Abrams tanks in the FEP version from the American army for $1,2 billion, of which almost $200 million was covered by the American side in the form of military assistance. These vehicles were previously in service with the Marines, but were withdrawn from the Marine Corps due to the abolition of tank units in the corps.

M1A1 included. Next in line are the most modern M1A2 SEP v.3 tanks

the military department said in a statement.

250 M1A2 SEP v.3 units were purchased in April 2022. The cost of the transaction, including auxiliary equipment, amounted to $4,75 billion. These MBTs are created in the USA by modernizing the M1A1 from the existing fleet. Their deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of 2024 and should be completed in 2026.

At the same time, starting from December 2022, shipment of K2 Black Panther tanks purchased from South Korea in the amount of 180 units has been underway. According to the contract dated August 2022, Warsaw paid $3,37 billion for them. Deliveries of K2 should be completed in 2025.

Did you get a hundred Abrams for the half thousand you gave to the T-72s?

As far as I read in their sources, they only had problems with these T-72s. Problems with spare parts, problems with the engine, crews going into reserve. In one of the interviews, the unit commander said that they are glad to return these tanks, because the K2 or Abrams are a big leap in quality. Yes, at the moment the supply of tanks has decreased significantly, but if they complete all purchases, then it will not only be 1:1, but they will be in a big plus. The first order for 180 K2 is already in progress, and another 200 have recently been ordered.

It’s not very clear why they are better in the modern war of Soviet tanks. It’s harder to hide in the bushes, the combat power is about the same. The survivability of a crew escaping from a burning tank is such a combat power; you may not even be able to reach another tank on foot. A couple of thousand tanks on a narrow section of the front will reach the anti-tank and drone operators with some losses, but hundreds of tanks for hundreds of thousands of soldiers is somehow nothing.

The Korean K2 can be controlled by an on-board computer and if the crew dies, it can independently return to base. Can he fire on his own? This has not been written about, but it has a chain-type automatic loader, similar to the design of the Leclerc tank, with 16 first-stage rounds. A network-centric control model has been implemented for the tank, where a group of tanks exchanges information and the tank can be controlled by the crew of another tank.
For it, the Koreans have developed a KSTAM projectile (Korean high-precision homing ammunition for striking from above), designed to fire at armored fighting vehicles outside the aiming line at a range of up to 8 km. KSTAM ammunition is based on the same operating principle as "smart" artillery rounds such as SMArt.
The K2 tank, thanks to its semi-active hydropneumatic suspension, can tilt.

Poland plans to purchase more tanks.
At the first stage, 180 tanks should be delivered by Seoul to Warsaw by 2025. The next step will be the acquisition of 820 K2PL tanks, modified to meet the requirements of the Polish side.

what a fantastic k2, how will it return if there is severe damage inside or complete burnout along with the crew, let them not suffer a blizzard.

I'd look at that. The crew must have gone out for a smoke.

like almost any modern one, and even if you don’t worry about neural network nanotechnologies, normal communication in tanks has long been solved

During its time, homing ammunition did not justify itself at all; with external target designation, the rapier can shoot well at 8 km

The crew must have gone out for a smoke.

Situations may be different. For example, the crew is killed and then the tank, on command from the outside, can return to a given location. A map of the area is also entered into the computer memory. I watched the first movie where you can intercept control of a car’s computer about 10 years ago. In the South Korean drama "K2: Bodyguard" they seize control of the car in which GG is driving and accelerate with the aim of killing. Recently, a trial was held in the United States against Tesla due to problems with automatic parking. In specially equipped parking lots, you don’t have to park the Tesla electric car yourself, but give a command from the remote control and the car will park itself. More than 1 million of these cars were produced.
like almost any modern one, and even if you don’t worry about neural network nanotechnologies, normal communication in tanks has long been solved

This means that tank crews can receive video and other information from instruments from all tanks in the group.
During its time, homing ammunition did not justify itself at all; with external target designation, the rapier can shoot well at 8 km

Rapier won't be able to do that. This projectile can be used to hit an enemy tank over a mountain; when approaching the target, the parachute opens and the projectile dives vertically downwards, hitting from above like a javelin.

Well, that's it, we're leaving, a wunderwaffe is born

This function is related to the peculiarities of the war on the Korean Peninsula, where the terrain is mountainous, and is not particularly needed in Europe.

                For example, the crew died
and the tank is 98% badly damaged. There may be incidents with the return of such a tank. Can become a kamikaze working for the enemy.

if the target is at the bottom of the gorge, it won’t be able to, but if it’s behind the hill, then it’s easy.
                I’m silent about the mortar.
This means that tank crews can receive video and other information from instruments from all tanks in the group.
I don’t know how they will be able to process all this with their brains at once, but 80 years ago someone could briefly bark into the radio where to shoot, since they had already processed it themselves.

You can immediately see who is watching what. This happened in the third Terminator, but the upgrade was best shown in the film. Teletanks are generally a hundred years old at lunchtime

For the case when the on-board computer and engine were not damaged when hit by an enemy shell.

The projectile is “smart”, i.e. has a target guidance system. If you follow your reasoning, you can give an example of an anti-tank hand grenade.

Well, I haven’t watched American films for a long time, everything is chewed up there in such a way that even a stupid black man in Africa will understand what the film is about and due to this, maximum receipts are achieved. No mind games.
The Terminator is a fantastic film, and I gave examples that it has long been used in everyday life. I didn’t watch the movie upgrade for the reason stated above.

and the ammunition, fuel tank and chassis, and tracks are in place. The shell is probably poisoned and should arrive

As I already wrote, smart projectiles do not work very well on their own, unless of course you have a drone hovering over the target, which can declare that a heat-contrasting target is standing right in this square right now. But if your drone is buzzing over the target, then you can shoot from the tank with ordinary shells, 120 mm mines, in the domestic case you can highlight the target for whale catchers (but it doesn’t seem to be used for tanks). And smart projectiles are not very smart, as we saw during the SVO, all sorts of smart and expensive anti-radar missiles are smoking in a puff, looking at what the audience gets up to in tandem with the Iskander-smerch. And on the other side - reconnaissance plus hemars is very painful, and launching Brimstones with their millimeter active radar towards the front line is simply wasted money.

And so, and so the transfer of visual information to the human brain, which makes decisions, if you wrote that the tank learned to think and react faster than tankers, and immediately thinks for the entire swarm, there would be something to talk about.

This is Poland! They started the Second World War with cavalry attacks on Guderian’s freshly baked tanks; now they are thoroughly preparing for the Third World War according to patterns from 80 years ago, buying up Leopards, Abrams and Korean Panthers ahead of the rest of Europe... This means the “rake” in the store has not yet run out.

We received one hundred Abrams for half a thousand given to the T-72 aircraft

For which you need to spend 300, or even 500 lancets... Calculate the cost of both... Well, it’s not profitable to play tanks now, when the main war is moving into the air, but here our design bureaus and factories have no end edge of work that needs to be done as quickly as possible so as not to fall behind and not lose in this drone war...

Stupid politicians followed the Soviet rake and had 4 types of tanks in service - Abrashka, Lipard, T72 and this one. Although of course the Korean one is essentially Lipard2 with AZ from Leclerc. But still, this is the design principle, and not the same bolts... Although the transmission, engine and gun are from Europeans. And probably a lot more from the NATO globalists bae/Rhine metal, etc.
Unfortunately for the Poliks, the Koreans are not as stupid as the Soviets and are not ready to give away technology and build factories to all sorts of trinkets. Therefore, they will no longer be able to assemble the tank in a full cycle, as was the case with the T72. And this is good!
On their Bumara Lyabeda they are tinkering with the Lipards with which they had problems from the Germans, they are tinkering with the Abrams, and now with these... But all this is not a factory, but pampering. And while they are fiddling around, they have already lost their competence in T72. And that's good too.
Now these clowns have become dependent on their most reliable partners. It is also good.
