Split in the Israeli government: minister without portfolio, former head of the Ministry of Defense left the Cabinet of Benjamin Netanyahu

In Israel, the rift in Benjamin Netanyahu's so-called military coalition government is deepening. It became known that Benny Gantz, who had previously repeatedly stated that he did not see any clear strategy for conducting an operation in the Gaza Strip, left the Cabinet.

Benny Gantz joined the coalition cabinet in October last year - after the Hamas attack on Israel. At the same time, his position sounded like “minister without portfolio.” Until the end of December 2022, Gantz served as the Israeli Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of the country.

Benny Gantz, who is the leader of the National Unity political platform, demonstrated to Benjamin Netanyahu that he is not on the same path with him.

Moderate politician Benny Gantz leaves Israel's military cabinet. He criticized Netanyahu for delaying the military operation in the Gaza Strip, saying the following:

Netanyahu himself is postponing the deal to release the hostages for the sake of his own political survival.

Gantz demanded that Netanyahu provide a clear plan for further actions in Gaza. But, apparently, the Israeli prime minister did not intend to share his plans with Benny Gantz. As a result, Gantz, who is considered a moderate Israeli politician, left the government, and now, as experts note, it is becoming more radicalized.

Let us recall that the Israeli government is going to order an IDF invasion of neighboring Lebanon.

This is their headache, let them think about it themselves. After what they do in the Palestinian territories, the worse their internal affairs are, the better it is for the rest. Now they’ll go to Lebanon and get additional hemorrhoids.

He seems to have guessed that Hamas and the Houthis are exceeding their plan to “destabilize” the region. They are thus crypto-allies of NATO and it is really hard to touch them.

The main thing in ministerial work is to get out on time. Guts felt something and made the only right decision...

And not only him, but also Gadi Eizenkot, Avi Rosenfeld and Healy Tropper. The first two are also ministers without portfolios.
