Retreating with losses from the Canal microdistrict of Chasova Yar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces detachments end up in a fire crater

The situation in the city of Chasov Yar continues to change from hour to hour. Today in the first half of the day, information appeared about the raising of the flag by Russian troops over the central part of the Kanal microdistrict, which is the easternmost part of the city. Further information came in doses that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, suffering losses, continued to retreat in a western direction, falling into the so-called fire crater. This is due to the fact that the Russian Armed Forces are firing heavily from several directions at once - directly from the Kanal microdistrict, from the northern side - from Kalinovka (Kalinina village), and also from the south - from Ivanovka (Krasny).

In the chaos of the battle, enemy units retreating with losses also come under “friendly” fire from other Ukrainian Armed Forces units from the central and western parts of Chasov Yar. Moreover, because of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, enemy airborne assault units are trying to move into battle in the eastern part of the city, to which the defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fleeing, having lost their positions and most of their personnel in the mentioned Kanal microdistrict.

Experts, commenting on the situation, say that if the purpose of the Russian army’s operation in the north of the Kharkov region was precisely to divert enemy reserves in order to gain an advantage in a number of directions in the DPR, then such a strategy is bearing fruit. Yes, there was no significant breakthrough in the area of the same Chasov Yar, but from there part of the reserves was previously transferred to Volchansk and the area of the village of Liptsy, which has already affected the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over Chasov Yar - in the sense that the control over the Kanal microdistrict by the Ukrainian There is practically no need to talk about troops anymore. The western part of the Kanal microdistrict is located (in the best case scenario for the enemy) in a gray zone.

Video link below. Kanal microdistrict in Chasovoy Yar. The Russian flag is raised above the center.

Traffic is heading towards the city center. The enemy is retreating, since from this direction the “Germans” withdrew reserves towards Kupyansk. In fact, the remaining forces in Chasov Yar were simply abandoned to the breach.

Glory to the Airborne Forces !!

Residents of Germany are called Germans only in Russia, which is quite strange, given the probable origin of the name from the word “mute”. For many centuries, the Slavs (including the Eastern Slavs) lived as neighbors, fought, created alliances, etc. Surely they understood each other quite well. But there is an assumption that the “Germans” - i.e. dumb, they called not the Germans, but representatives of the West Slavic tribes who became part of Germany and abandoned their languages and customs from the 13th-14th centuries to the 19th.
According to genetic studies, East Germans now have at least a quarter of the descendants of those Slavs.

You should at least look at Wikipedia or something else. Cut out, yeah. The Lusatian Serbs have generally retained both their culture and language in Germany since then. But the Polabian tribes and Pomeranians lost their culture and language.

Despite all the “Germanization”, Slavic surnames remained in Prussia. It is clear that their mentality is far from Slovenian, but the surnames of their ancestors remained. Even generals in the Wehrmacht came across with endings in “off”

Perhaps this name came from a German tribe called the Nemets, known to the Slavs since ancient times. Of course, the hypothesis with the “mute” is far-fetched, but the parallel is painfully interesting: the Slavs were encouraged - the Germans became. There were Russians - now there are Ukrainians (Germans).

It seems to me that the etiology of the word “nem” is a derivative of “not we”. That is, foreign peoples. This was not supposed to apply to the ability to speak. Not one people was completely deaf and dumb. Then “Germans” must be understood as “aliens.”
Then it turns out that this name is very suitable for ukram. In addition, they draw crosses on equipment like the fascists of WW2.

Let me clarify, this does not refer to the ability to pronounce speech in general as an ability, but simply to the inability to speak the language of the Slavs.
This is the same thing as the Frankish tribe, which translates as “people,” but this does not mean that the Franks did not consider representatives of other nations in the biological sense to be people, of course they were, but rather second-class people.

Until the 16th and 17th centuries, Slavic was widely spoken there, and then laws were passed in the German eastern principalities (by the way, almost synchronously with the Reformation. While they were Catholics, no one cared who spoke what language, sermons were in Latin anyway, and Protestants were all in the national the language of local speakers - German). And according to these laws, everything official must be in German only: education, trade. and so on. And people began to become Germanized en masse precisely after this. There are so many parallels with Ukraine. It has its own religion, where everything is in Ukrainian, everything official is in Ukrainian. One difference is that there was no Internet back then and there was information isolation. Now it is more difficult to translate all people into a foreign language; the Internet must be banned for this.

The defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Chasov Yar nevertheless wavered and began to lose ground. So already half of the microdistrict. The "Canal", located on the left side of the Seversky Donets - Donbass canal, is already under the control of Russian soldiers.

“Our guys from the 98th Airborne Division stormed the Ukrainian opornik, located in a five-story building in the Kanal microdistrict and raised the imperial flag and the flag of the Airborne Forces over it!” - noted from the seats.

Also, the Russian army completely took the Chasovyarsky Repair Plant (CHRZ) and entered the abandoned Hydroreinforced Concrete plant.

Today, from early morning, the Russian Aerospace Forces are delivering powerful strikes using KAB. A combined arms operation has begun, the Russian army is introducing reserves, military correspondents emphasize.

The defeated units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fleeing from the Kanal microdistrict to the western part of Chasov Yar, and enemy air assault units are trying to meet them in the Kanal microdistrict. Reinforcements are likely.
How does the rotation work out? Some Armed Forces officers leave the Kanal microdistrict, while others come to replace them.

A number of Ukrainian sources report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces “no longer have the ability to properly defend” a significant part of Chasov Yar.
The Kanal microdistrict is gradually moving into the category of lost positions, and the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal “is no longer a reliable line of defense.”
The most active contribution to the destruction of defense lines is made by Russian aviation and artillery, which operate on the Armed Forces of Ukraine 24/7. According to the Ukrainian side, “the time will soon come to leave this city and retreat to where there is an opportunity to hide.”

Previously, some units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, for example the 42nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, were deployed near Kharkov to contain the advance of the Northern Group of Forces. This gave Russian troops the opportunity to advance deeper into the positions and break through the defenses in a number of areas.

In general, encircling on three sides is also enough, and if you also control all the enemy’s supply routes, then you don’t need to close the ring to win.

And I think it is necessary. Fire control is a tricky thing. How many of them have there already been? And the enemy always dropped me off and dropped me off, and eventually left. With losses, but he left. And you won’t escape from the environment. Mind you, don’t use WWII as an example!

If you constantly give the enemy a corridor for retreat, then this potentially increases our losses in the future, gives the enemy confidence in a guaranteed retreat and does not give ours confidence in a small victory here and now, it cuts down on local command planning, that is, tactical initiative.

What is meant by an escape corridor? The enemy's retreat route must, of course, also be under fire control and the retreating enemy must be destroyed if possible.
