The Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed an unmanned Ukrainian Armed Forces boat near Sevastopol

Tonight, Ukrainian formations attempted once again to carry out an attack on the Russian naval base in Sevastopol using an unmanned boat. This follows from a message from Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev on a social network.

According to the governor, the enemy’s unmanned boat was destroyed by the forces and means of the Black Sea fleet The Russian Navy in the Black Sea, near Sevastopol. No destruction was recorded, Razvozhaev emphasized.

Loud sounds that were heard in the Streletskaya Bay area - it was our fleet in the outer roadstead that destroyed an unmanned boat

- the governor of Sevastopol wrote in his Telegram channel.

Civil infrastructure was not damaged, and there were no casualties, the head of the Sevastopol administration noted, citing information from the city’s emergency services.

Let us note that the enemy regularly tries to attack Russian targets in Sevastopol and in general on the Crimean peninsula, using both unmanned boats in attacks from the sea, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles. The vast majority of attacks are successfully repelled by the forces and means of air defense of the Russian Armed Forces and the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.

When carrying out attacks, the enemy can use intelligence data transmitted to him by the US military, which monitors the Crimea and the Black Sea using RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles, constantly flying over the Black Sea waters.

Now, on the Black Sea, the weather is ideal - the surface of the water is “water in a swamp”, you need to be on guard 24/7.

tralflot1832 hi, this is understandable, you have to be on guard in any weather. Another strange thing is that BEC was alone? Why would this be a new tactic? Or the rest did not arrive for those reasons.

Murmur 55. The devil knows - maybe the rest went in a “loop” away from the coast, i.e. Crimea. We also need to control sea traffic from Odessa, they will load BECs on board and dump them on the way to Istanbul.

tralflot1832, judging by the time, they should have already arrived, and therefore they will either be washed ashore or found immobilized, or this destroyed one was alone and it is not clear why.

Maybe they scared it away, the Black Sea Fleet carried out a shift in the air not according to schedule or, on the contrary, intensified it.

tralflot1832, here they rather carried out reconnaissance in force, what, what, but Ukraine has enough of these BECs at this stage, so they are unlikely to save and return them.

Yesterday, during the day, three of them were destroyed by Black Sea Fleet aviation. Perhaps due to clear weather, calmness, and therefore a better opportunity to detect these ukrobeks. They let BEKIs in small groups. At time intervals.

........ the enemy boat was destroyed by the forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy ...

It’s a great achievement to destroy unmanned boats by an entire Black Sea Fleet; it’s obvious that they’ve been working towards this for a long time.

"Maybe". It’s so “maybe” that it’s high time to throw it either on the water or on the ground - it will be equally pleasant.

It’s bad, very bad that they let the enemy through to the near defense lines of Sevastopol.

Lyokha from Android hi, no system provides 100% protection, and such attacks will occur either from the sea or from the air. Only a complete change of course in Kyiv and cutting out especially stubborn neo-Nazis will put an end to this.

He climbed far, but what was he supposed to do on Strelka? Maybe he lost his course? How long did he go unnoticed? Or a new type of device?

The main entrance to Sevastopol is closed with booms. A, Streletskaya separate bay. They wrote that they destroyed it in an external roadstead. They are small and missed the BEC at night. Although yesterday aviation destroyed two BECs, the other day they “sawed” a BEC into an old civilian raid tug. It’s just that they didn’t write where the blow was struck. Lately, they haven't been sending out a flock. Single or small groups of BECs.

I really hope that the rest were destroyed earlier, on the shore or at sea. And it pleases!

I would chalk it up to the fact that not all the information is communicated to us. To avoid saying so.
Plus the question is how are these backs detected? Haven't you created a system of hydroacoustic buoys yet? For example, they can be fed by the movement of waves. Scatter them throughout the water area and enter their geopositions into the program. This is me, I’m fantasizing)))

It was with great pleasure that I read about the latest destruction of the “miracle weapon” of the Ukrainian Reich.
And the recent debate here on the pages of VO, on the topic of protecting ships from BEC attacks, immediately came to mind. And what was not written in the comments then, especially after the appearance on the Internet of footage showing sailors dashingly and just as unsuccessfully firing back from the attacking BEC with PKP and Kalashnikovs. And almost everyone almost unanimously agreed that the 7,62 caliber was too small to defeat the BEC. But in reality, it’s not a matter of caliber, but of timely detection, having a good sight and the ability to shoot. And in general, it’s time for those in charge to “be concerned” about equipping the Armed Forces with light infantry systems specialized for combating drones and suitable for installation on various types of equipment, including civilian pickup trucks. In this regard, it seems to me that it would be worth taking a closer look at a machine gun like the ShKAS, with a weight of 9,8 kg. and in caliber 7,62x54R it has a rate of fire of 1800 rounds per minute. For comparison, the PKP (“Pecheneg”), from which, judging by the footage, the boat was destroyed, weighs 8,7 kg. in the same caliber it has a rate of fire of only 650 rounds per minute. Well, don’t carry ShKAS in your arms.

To destroy kamikaze boats, the LPK-101 “Krechet” complex with a thermal imager and a large-caliber 12,7-mm “Kordom” was created. It is currently undergoing testing.

I'm aware, but thanks anyway. It's nice to know that there are people who care about the topic. As for the LPK-101 "Krechet" - this is a sighting system and I think that it can be integrated with various types of weapons. And as for the "Kord" machine gun, it seems to me, based on the need to strengthen weapons on existing ships, helicopters or light vehicles technology, then “Cord” is redundant. Well, judge for yourself - weight 25,5 kg, rate of fire 600–750 rounds/min. and requires a special, very bulky and heavy machine to ensure shooting stability. That is, even a pair of ShKAS or Pecheneg machine guns with a lower total weight will give a much higher density of fire and the likelihood of hitting a target.

One boat (BEC) ... this is reconnaissance in force, you should get ready and wait for the “wolf pack” ... IMHO
