“Not only from the United States, but also from Europe”: The White House announced the sending of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine
14
The United States is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine and hopes European allies will follow suit. This statement was made by White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
The Biden administration is preparing a new package of military assistance to Kyiv from previously allocated funds, an announcement about this should follow soon, there is no exact date. In Washington they say that the delivery to the Ukrainian army after a long break weapon significantly influenced the situation on the battlefield, and the new one will allow not only to hold the defense, but also to launch a counter-offensive closer to the fall.
I think that in the coming weeks we can expect announcements about further deliveries of significant power to Ukraine
- Sullivan said.
In addition to American assistance, Kyiv should also receive European assistance, at least the United States is calling on its NATO allies to fork out the cash and donate “to poverty” to Zelensky. Otherwise, he has already visited the countries of Southeast Asia with an outstretched hand. It is not yet clear whether the United States will follow the call in Europe. Recent meetings at the level of heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense of NATO countries have shown that many European countries are not eager to invest in the Kiev regime. With the exception of France and Germany, whose leaders unconditionally carry out all commands from overseas.
Meanwhile, Biden, who is traveling to Europe, will hold two meetings with Zelensky, one in France and the second in Italy. It is expected that the main topic of conversation will be the continuation of the war with Russia and further prospects for the conflict.
