The Verkhovna Rada has returned basic military training to the Ukrainian education system

In Ukraine, primary military training on the Soviet model is being returned to the education system, but with an emphasis on patriotic education. The corresponding bill was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.

In the second reading, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill introducing initial military training into the program for students of secondary and higher educational institutions. The subject will be called “Defense of Ukraine”, and the program for it will be developed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in agreement with the Ministry of Defense. In this case, the subject will be required to study, like mathematics and the Ukrainian language.

As Ukrainian Armed Forces deputy Zheleznyak stated, instead of pre-conscription training, initial combined arms training will be introduced, well diluted with an ideological component. Students will be taught not only to hold a machine gun correctly, but also to explain what “values” they need to die for.

The law introduces the concept of “initial combined arms training,” which will allow the government to make the study of this subject mandatory. Greater emphasis is placed on technology, on the internal motivation of a citizen to defend his state
- stated in the Rada.

They started talking about introducing such a subject into the educational program in Ukraine in 2021. At the same time, Zelensky signed the law “On the Foundations of National Resistance.”

      Why do they start at school... It is necessary to instill Russophobia right from kindergarten... I read the other day that in kindergartens in Ukraine various winter songs in Russian are banned under the pretext that these are a hybrid weapon of the Kremlin.... A ban is a ban, but You can already conduct such Farion-style lessons with children and then they will go to school as real “young bander spoons...

        There's something I didn't understand.
        Before the 22nd, but after the 14th, videos regularly appeared showing children in Ukrainian schools being taught how to use machine guns.
        Well, after the 22nd, even complete ***s should have introduced at least minimal training in schools

          Before the 22nd, they had pre-conscription training (disassembling and assembling a machine gun), and now combined arms training is being introduced, where they will be taught how to kill us with this machine gun and why they themselves should die in the trenches... By the way, why... ??? am

      Really? After all, they have long organized various summer camps to prepare for combat operations for children, up to kindergarten age.
      Now they decided to put all this within a legal framework. But why is this happening all of a sudden?

      But it's better than nothing. And judging by the refugees, all subjects have been excluded from Ukrainian schools. Only the Kama Sutra was left.

      It's the same with us...

      The picture most likely shows life safety, since the gas mask is civilian. However, if you can feel more or less accustomed to yourself in GP-5 and respond adequately to external stimuli, then any American Marine is just one match for you.

    but also to explain what “values” one must die for.

    It would be better if they implemented it, at least there are moments of salvation.

      Wasn’t it in the NVP?
      ... At one time I was shocked by the news from domestic resources that traffic police inspectors did not know how to provide emergency medical care. help (I remember, even when applying for a driver’s license, there were questions on this topic)... 40+ years ago (((...
      And also - really, no(?) - I don’t know... Let those who know clarify: it seems that even they (traffic police officers) were forbidden(?!) to provide emergency medical care. assistance... to avoid "unqualified intervention". (What about the article for leaving in a helpless, dangerous state?)...

        What are you talking about? We have had the traffic police for a long time. And everyone there knows how and when to provide help.

        There is such a thing. The most basic things remained there, like pulling out, putting...
        The refusal to provide assistance only applies to certified physicians, but I would advise them to think carefully. After all, if a lawsuit is filed, all actions will be analyzed by a group of experts... wink

      They don’t chew, from the 2023/24 academic year, NVP lessons began for grades 10-11:
      - weapons and rules for handling them;
      - shooting basics;
      - use and construction of hand grenades;
      - drill training and military salute;
      - individual protection means;
      - provision of first aid.

      The classes are taught primarily by life safety teachers who undergo retraining beforehand. Military personnel who served under contract and have combat experience are also invited to these positions. Additionally, people with military experience, including participants in the military military training in Ukraine, periodically share their personal experiences during CVP lessons.

      As part of the new course, schoolchildren are told how to behave in extreme situations, such as fire, military operations, quarantine or natural disasters.

      Also, high school students are taught how to handle weapons - the NVP course includes both theoretical and practical classes.

      The module "Elements of Basic Military Training" helps schoolchildren get an idea of serving in the country's armed forces and prepare for military training.

      The content of this program is based on knowledge about the defense of the state, the composition and structure of the RF Armed Forces, and tells about the procedure for action during conscription and military service.

      Schoolchildren are taught to operate in modern combined arms combat, they are explained the composition and armament of a motorized rifle squad on an infantry fighting vehicle, and are told what the engineering equipment of a soldier’s position and a single trench are.

    It’s too late to drink Borjomi when the buds have fallen off. But it’s high time for us to return the NVP, DOSAAF, Voroshilov Riflemen, etc. Tea we are not yet living in paradise. Thank God or Insha Allah1... I managed to catch this time in the dying at the end of the 80s. My father was a rifle instructor after Afghanistan.... Right now I remember how it infuriated me... even shooting somewhere, constant slaps on the head... how stupid and moronic I am... l... cleaning all this and other delights. feel As they say... learning is hard... soldier Yes, it’s not easier in battle, but training would be better! Moreover, like my father, I now have no chance of becoming an instructor. And in the division with the letter A I have very strong graters that I rejected 3 summonses

    It was somehow strange to see a Soviet boy who did not have the basics of military training.
