Russia has developed a wearable electronic warfare system "Fumigator" to protect fighters of assault groups from drones
21
Russian companies continue to develop protection against FPVdrones and drums drones, including individual ones, the purpose of which is to cover assault groups in battle. A new complex called “Fumigator” was presented by the company “PPSh Laboratory”.
The new wearable system is designed to protect assault teams from FPV drones and unmanned “bombers”. The complex is portable, designed to be carried by two soldiers, since it contains two different modules. One creates a dome with a diameter of up to 300 meters, covering the group from dropping ammunition, and the second jams FPV drones. The complex can operate up to seven hours on one battery.
New products are being developed based on our modules. For example, we are now producing portable products called “Fumigator” — in a regular version and “Fumigator FPV” for assault groups. They also consist of modules for a specific suppression frequency. But if earlier one person carried a kind of backpack, now two people in one unit carry the equipment EW.
It is not reported what stage the work is at, and it is also unknown whether the Fumigator is being supplied to the Northern Military District zone. The problem with drones is very big; at the front they literally demand means to combat them. As our soldiers say, the main losses of Russian Armed Forces units are caused by drones; now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a very large number of them. Wearable electronic warfare systems are one of the ways to save the lives of our soldiers.
