The Director General of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, a branch of the Irkut Corporation OJSC, is Alexander Veprev, Vice President, and Irkut Corporation President Oleg Demchenko, Hero of Russia, Major General Alexander Kharchevsky, meet the pilots of the Air Force who performed the first flight on Su-30SM.
16. Hero of Russia, Major General Alexander Kharchevsky.
17. Oleg Demchenko: “We worked for many years for export, and now we have begun to supply aircraft to our homeland. Today we give the Russian Air Force the first two Su-30SM fighters. It - historical an event for our team, for the Sukhoi company, for the entire United Aircraft Corporation.
18. Alexander Kharchevsky: “It is important that the Su-30CM is already in mass production and will be sent to the Air Force not by single copies, but by squadrons.”
19. Alexander Kharchevsky: “The Su-30CM significantly increased the combat capabilities associated with the detection and destruction of targets, and not just one, but several at a time. The potential of one such aircraft is comparable to the potential of two aircraft of the previous generation. ”
20. “The entry into service of the Su-30SM is a new stage in the rearmament of the Air Force. The capabilities of the fighters allow us to increase the combat potential of our aviation. To date, the Russian Air Force did not have an aircraft that would allow solving problems at such a high level. "
