Sources: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are hastily retreating from the eastern part of Krasnohorivka due to the risk of encirclement
18
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began to very quickly retreat from the eastern quarters of Krasnohorivka. This is reported by a number of sources, including Ukrainian.
This settlement is currently being stormed by units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Our units managed to break through to Krasnogorovka from the north-eastern direction, as well as from the south-western direction. In the last direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were driven out of the territory of the refractory plant, which was used by the enemy as an important stronghold.
The retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the eastern quarters of Krasnohorivka is due to the fact that the Ukrainian command fears the encirclement of its troops. And the likelihood of encirclement is very high, since Russian troops are simultaneously advancing from the southwest and northeast, and the Ukrainian group in the eastern part of the settlement risks falling into the pincers of Russian troops. After this, the enemy will only have to surrender, or he will be completely destroyed.
Apparently, in the foreseeable future our troops will liberate Krasnogorovka. If this happens, the settlement will become the largest after Avdievka liberated by our forces this year.
But it is becoming increasingly difficult for Ukrainian formations to defend the city, given the intense onslaught of Russian troops and high losses in the ranks of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
