American media: Israel refused to carry out large-scale strikes on Iran due to pressure from the United States and NATO

Despite the fact that Iran subjected Israel to a large-scale attack of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles on April 14, 2024, the Israeli army has still not launched powerful strikes on Iranian territory. The American publication The New York Times tried to understand the reasons for this situation, analyzing the possible reasons for Israel’s refusal to attack Iranian territory.

According to American media, Israel refused to launch large-scale strikes on Iran due to pressure from the United States and NATO. The Jewish state's Western allies categorically opposed strikes on Iran due to fears of a large-scale war in the region. Now it will be very difficult for the West to drag on another powerful conflict other than the Ukrainian one.

Previously, a number of analysts expressed the opinion that the United States could demand that Israel not strike Iran in exchange for permission to conduct an IDF operation against the Hamas movement in the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. However, after the dissemination of this information, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken categorically opposed this operation.

The White House and State Department are well aware that the operation in Rafah would lead to a large-scale humanitarian disaster and the death of a huge number of civilians. After all, at least 1,4 million refugees from the northern regions of the Gaza Strip have now gathered in the city and its environs. Therefore, it is unlikely that the United States would allow such an operation even in exchange for Israel’s refusal to attack Iranian territory.

Probably, the United States could simply threaten Israel with withdrawal of support in the event of a confrontation with Iran, and in such a situation the Israeli side would find itself in a very difficult position. Therefore, the Israeli government had no other options but to abandon a large-scale attack on Iranian targets. On the other hand, it is possible that Israel will carry out strikes, but after some time, so that they are as unexpected as possible for Iran.

And also out of a sense of self-preservation. Only with an armed conflict on hand does it lead to another. Uh... Oh, Israel destroyed the Iranian embassy.

185 drones, 36 cruise missiles and 110 surface-to-surface missiles were fired at Israel. Most of them were shot down, except (according to Iran) about ten hypersonic ones?!
On the other hand, Israel considers this operation a “failure” of the “Iranian attack” - the damage from missiles hitting two air bases is relatively small.

They will deal with Gaza, and then Iran.

If they attack Iran, then it will be a very big massacre, where Israel will be in the minority and the United States and NATO will immediately disown it... And “one on one” I don’t think that he will pull it off
