Iraqi Defense Ministry accepted Ukrainian-made 40 BTR-4

On February 7 in Kiev, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Iraq and Ukrspetsexport Group of Companies signed an act of acceptance of a batch of Ukrainian-made BTR-4 in the number of 40 units.

“The tests were carried out successfully. No major problems have been identified. We are pleased with the process of cooperation with the Ukrainian side. Previously transferred Ukrainian-made BTR-4 in heavy field conditions are being exploited in Iraq. This is a new, advanced vehicle for the Iraqi army, ”the official representative of the Iraqi delegation stressed.

In the Ukroboronprom Group of Companies they noted that they are satisfied with the achieved result. “Despite the significantly more stringent requirements for accepting the Iraqi side (each car was checked according to a special program), all the cars were transferred without significant remarks. We will execute the contract in accordance with the agreements reached. Now the main task is to create an effective service department for servicing the equipment transferred to the Iraqi side, ”the Ukroboronprom Group of Companies noted.

Information:
At the end of 2009, Ukraine and Iraq signed a contract for the supply of 420 vehicles BTR-4 for a total amount of 457,5 million dollars. The main contractor is the Morozov Kharkiv Design Bureau (KMDB), co-contractors are the State Enterprise “Malyshev Plant” (Kharkiv), and other Concern enterprises.

Judging by the previous information about the "cooperation" of the Ukrainian defense industry in the maintenance of their equipment (any), good luck to the Iraqi soldiers and policemen in operation!

Gur Khan: We are talking about an article on the possible imminent break of the contract for armored personnel carriers with Iraq in the bmpd blog. However, the above material of the Interfax news agency - there are no official denials on the Ukrspetsexport website, and, as can be seen from the text, neither Interfax itself nor its "source in Ukrspetsexport" do direct denials - everything is very vague and veiled . And at the same time "in the castle with the chief":

Iraq intends to abandon Ukrainian weapons in favor of Russian or South Korean
This is an article by IA REGNUM, with a reference to a Kurdish newspaper, although the source is not located on the Rudaw website, but as they say, "there is no smoke without fire." In any case, we are witnessing serious passions around the Ukrainian-Iraqi contract, pathetic attempts to save it by the Ukrainian side. I hope that this story will serve as a lesson for those who suddenly want to deal with Ukraine. Ukraine is an extremely unreliable partner in the field of military-technical cooperation, and it has practically lost all the possibilities for the production of armored vehicles. All that she has been able to do so far is to "saw through" used equipment, the reserves of which, among other things, are also finite.

A bmpd blog from informed sources close to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ukrainian defense industry has learned that the Iraqi Ministry of Defense is considering canceling a 2009 contract for the purchase of 420 Ukrainian wheeled armored personnel carriers BTR-4

you can still recall the cancellation of the Thai contract for Bastions with an urgent order of equipment from UVZ.

As I said in a previous post that Ukrainians cope with this contract by clenching their teeth, they will fulfill it

A new modification of the BTR-4MV, developed by KHKBM, will be presented at the IDEX-2013 international defense exhibition, which will be held February 17-21 in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

And I counted 36 pieces, and it’s still not clear at the back, whether it’s a garage, or a special car with a booth. But the goal is not this, the photo may be of different times. On it, after all, not a report, but just a certain number of equipment, so that everything is fine. The main thing is that the money to the budget and to the matter, where there are many questions, will they reach?
Yes, under the contract, there are still many questions, I would like to listen to the other side not from the Ukrainian press.

If you give them at least one tank each, they will lose one hell. As they did not know how to fight, they didn’t.

Well, it depends on who - the amers have the same story, only they have every enemy soldier with a cruise missile, since the buck is not a bargain. Think of one trillion dollars more, one less ...

If our defenders had more money, at least bring their samples to the exhibitions, then there would be not just an exposition, but a bunch of solid contracts. They pulled BM Bulat to South Africa for good - the result: A hundred T-72UA1 for Ethiopia.

Although if we take our military-industrial complex, it survived thanks to export, and after that it began to stand up and saturate the troops with equipment, I agree with you.
