The Israeli embassy announced the number of Russians mobilized into the IDF who died in Gaza

It became known about the number of Russian citizens mobilized into the Israeli army who died during the fighting in the Gaza Strip. We are talking about persons who have dual citizenship, including Israeli citizenship, and who were conscripted into the Israeli armed forces after November 7, 2023, having previously been in the reserves.
Information Service TASS with reference to the Israeli embassy in Moscow, reports that a total of 9 Israeli soldiers with Russian citizenship were killed during the war in Gaza. The number of wounded in this regard is not reported.
At the same time, the embassy did not name the total number of Israeli citizens who have a Russian passport and are fighting in the IDF, noting only that this number is “quite large.”
According to some reports, from October to March, the Israeli command involved at least 500 military personnel with Russian passports in the operation in the Palestinian enclave. The total number of Russians living in Israel, holding an Israeli passport and subject to Israeli mobilization laws amounts to tens of thousands. Moreover, a significant number of such individuals have moved to Israel since the fall of 2022, when, when applying for Israeli citizenship, they declared a desire to “avoid mobilization” in Russia.
Let us recall that during the IDF’s fighting, more than 30 thousand Palestinians have already died, of which at least 8 thousand are children. The number of victims (wounded) as a result of shelling and bombing is approaching 75 thousand people. Earlier, the South African authorities filed a lawsuit against Israel in the International Court of Justice demanding that the authorities of this country be held criminally responsible for war crimes.
