Russia has set up an additional military police post in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights

Russian military police have deployed an additional post in the Golan Heights region on Syrian territory along the Bravo demarcation line. The Ministry of Defense reports this.

The Russian military in Syria has deployed an additional military police post along the contact line in the Golan Heights occupied by Israel. The opening of the post took place the day before; the forces stationed there will monitor compliance with the ceasefire, as well as the de-escalation of the situation in the region. The post is designed to work autonomously if necessary.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have opened another observation post along the Bravo line of the Golan Heights. (...) The post is located at a direct distance from the Bravo line, equipped with all means of optical and technical surveillance

- said the commander of the military police battalion Sergei Gorevoy.

As the command of the Russian group of troops in Syria explained, posts in the Golan Heights area are set up in two lines. At the heights themselves there are Russian military police posts, and Syrian ones are located below them. Interaction has been established between them.

Let us note that Russian posts in the Golan Heights region appeared in August 2018; the first patrol of Syrian territory in the Golan Heights region in the Quneitra province was carried out in September of the same year. A total of eight posts were initially set up; apparently, ours are gradually strengthening their presence in the Golan region. The patrol routes were agreed upon with the UN; the most extreme point was the settlement of Rafid, which is actually located on the border with part of the Golan Heights occupied by Israel.

The Golan Heights were captured by the Israeli army in 1967, after which the Knesset unilaterally declared these territories to belong to Israel. Later, part of the Golan territory was returned to Syria, but on the condition of creating a demilitarized zone with the presence of a UN contingent there.

This is actually beneficial for Russia. Iran is a situational ally, and ousting Iran from Syria is in the interests of the Russian Federation

Additional post, what will it change? The Jews went wild beyond measure. It’s easier to give Syria a dozen 3-ton bombs with the implementation of bombing and the ardor of the invaders will cool down.

You are so funny. Can you roughly imagine what will then be left of Assad and his closest associates? Especially considering that in a number of Syrian cities, after the destruction of those generals, sweets are distributed?

It would be better if the Syrians and our contingent deployed additional air defense systems in Damascus. As a result of the attack on the Iranian diplomatic mission, the air defense officers clearly did not overdo it, which now risks the start of a major international conflict.
