Children's question: between America and Russia
The leader of the “Left Front” Sergei Udaltsov, who led the left column of the procession, told the BBC correspondent:
Oppositionist Ilya Yashin also rejoiced at a large number of protesters:
Forgive Yashin his tautology, and read about what grade "excellent results" given LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky. According to his opinion given on the party’s website, holding actions with such slogans as the “march against scoundrels” is unacceptable. The LDPR Chairman noted that Russian children are talented, and giving up growing intellectual wealth to America is a typical occupation for the “fifth column”:
At the same time, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party reported 3 millions of cases of violence per year occurring in American families. He further said that Americans need Russian blood. After all, if “we take away all the children from Russia, then in America they will have their Kurchatovs, their chelomeas.” The LDPR Chairman concluded that all Russian children should be “in our country”.
On January 30, the Central Investigation Department of the Russian Federation Inspectorate inspected and opened a criminal case against US citizen Shed Traylor on the fact of sexual assault against a person under the age of fourteen years - or rather, his adopted son Maxim Babayev. It is not difficult to guess that the boy is from Russia.
Caleb Maxim Treylor, 2006, was born the one whom, before moving to the USA, was called Maxim Babayev, - was adopted Americans Shedon Traylor and his spouse Christy Rine in March 2009 of the year.
In 2009-2011 the adoptive father committed sexual assault against the adopted son. In 2009, the boy was three years old!
About this abomination became known only in 2012 year. A couple of rapists appeared before a US court. They were accused of "committing physical violence". Shedon Trailor was punished for five years, but "conditionally", and his wife was given a year - and also "conditionally."
Physical abuse is not the same as sexual abuse. The RF IC noted that the accusation of having committed sexual assault of a sexual nature against the child was not brought against his adoptive father, and the circumstances of the crime were not investigated. Now the Investigative Committee plans to send the necessary requests for legal assistance to the US competent authorities.
Chairman of the IC of Russia Alexander Bastrykin himself call American adoptive parents "pseudo-parents".
The case with American adoptions reached the point that later, February 4, Comrade Bastrykin wrote invited US Attorney General Eric Holder to visit Russia.
The letter said that during the visit it was planned to discuss the course of investigation of cases of violence against Russian children in American families, since now Russia is investigating criminal cases opened on the facts of the use of violence against 13 by young Russians. The text said:
Sergey Chumarev, Senior Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Washington, рассказал the details of the case 6-year-old Maxim Babayev. He told Golos Rossii that the embassy staff was struck by the attitude of the Okrug authorities towards the Russian representatives who came to clarify the situation. The embassy staff appealed to five different offices: from the office of the prosecutor to the management of the archives of the district sheriff. Everywhere there was mistrust, everywhere they gave out a minimum of information, and for money. Chumarev said that “when we blacked out with a black felt-tip pen, all the data and all the essential information about this case”.
Lyubov Kuryanova, a columnist for Voice of Russia, identifies two main myths about American adoption of Russian children.
First, the wide circulation among the masses has the speculation that unhappy Russian children will be much better in America than in their poor homeland. But the recent tragic cases indicate the opposite: the American child's American father forgot in a car, and the child suffocated. The other boy was beaten. Third strangled. Is this a happy American childhood?
The second myth immediately turns on: in America there are strict laws and there will be no mercy for the criminal. But for some reason Themis divides children into "their" and "alien". Not otherwise, peeping through the bandage!
In many cases, when unlawful acts are allowed against children born in Russia, the journalist notes, American parents receive two or three-year terms. Or do get off with a fine and community service. Moreover, the statistics of recent years proves that the guilty otzhizhivayut hardly half the time.
Sergey Chumarev believes that the demand for white children is very high in the USA. He recalls that in the United States about 100 thousands of children are not adopted (according to official data, they are waiting for adoption). Only every second child finds a new family. Chumarev speaks of a huge number of legal obstacles. That is why, he notes, the adoption of children from Russia and other countries of the former USSR is of great importance for American adoptive parents and agencies involved in business in this area.
But the American look (Gennady Wilner, Echo of Moscow blog):
Another look (Alisa Krutovskaya, Voice of America):
We will not idealize the motherland. Not so long ago, I brought to the "IN" fragments from a terrible collection of facts about the death of Russian children in Russia, collected by journalists. Interfax. All the tragedies they described happened in only one 2012 year.
11 December A drunken resident of the Volgograd region beat an 6-year-old stepson to death: beat him, hit his head against a wall, and then tried to revive him by burning his body with a cigarette lighter. On November 12, the Moscow City Court sentenced a Muscovite addict to 16 years of strict regime. He beat to death the 11-month-old child of cohabitant - "for the fact that he often cried." 7 November a resident of Syzran threw her newborn son in a trash can, gagging his mouth. On November 1, a drunken resident of the Chelyabinsk region killed a seven-year-old daughter with a ladle when she saw that she was peeing in pantyhose.
These are just a few examples.
But the matter is not in them and not in the number of deaths per thousand and thousands of “happy destinies” that the same Americans often try to operate with. No one is able to figure out what happens to the child, stay in Russia or go to America.
Today one thing is clear: America is not a solid Disneyland. There, as well as in a free tolerant Europe (read about Britain and France), homosexual parents quite often come across, marijuana is legalized there, there is a conditional term for violence against a small child (three years old). It's like a lottery: it’s not known if you will pull out a lucky ticket, but you have a lot of chances to lose ...
The farther into the forest, the more firewood, popular wisdom says. Americans have already broken a lot of firewood. Probably, the accelerated pace of the “cold war” will lead to a further “freezing” of relations between the Russian Federation and the United States, if not to the restoration of the “iron curtain” through effective mechanisms of Comrade Onishchenko, sensible propaganda and further liberation from dollar economic dependence. USA today if hegemon, then decrepit, and the rules of the game change. If America does not want to listen to change, then this is its future grief, not Russia.
The fact that Russian children will not go to America (by the way, now there is also a discussion about the refusal of adoption by the French - if the deputies in Paris accept the provision in the law on gay marriage allowing homosexual adoption), it does not mean will find happiness here in Russia. We are not perfect, and we know it. We will try to fix it. It is not true that in Russia from year to year it is getting worse and worse, and that the entire population of the country, including the elderly and children, will soon die out due to the fault of a totalitarian government steeped in corruption. There are, of course, enough problems in the country: Russia is not the island of Utopia, invented by More. But this is no reason to give the children to America. Thirteen criminal cases initiated against American rapists are more than enough to not give. It would be enough one case.
