Iranian Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Ensie Khazali, during a meeting in New York with her Nigerian counterpart Uju Kennedy-Ohanenyi, called for the creation of an international coalition against Israel.
As reported by the Iranian news agency Mehr, during a discussion of the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip, Khazali noted Tehran's concerns about the continuing increase in the number of dead and wounded Gazans, as well as hunger in the Palestinian enclave.
It is also reported that Iranian Deputy Minister of Justice Asghar Jalaliyan, during his speech at the 55th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, drew the attention of representatives of international organizations present at the event to the killing of 13 thousand Palestinian children by Israel, which has occurred over the past five months.
Jalaliyan emphasized that Tehran, warning of the danger for children from the consequences of armed clashes, which have both a short-term and long-term nature.
In total, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of people killed in Israeli strikes on the territory of the Palestinian enclave since the beginning of active hostilities exceeded 31,5 thousand people, and more than 73,5 thousand were injured. According to the department, over the past 63 hours alone, as a result of attacks by the Israeli army in the region, 112 civilians were killed and another XNUMX were injured.
