Moscow City Court will hold a debate on the Kvachkov case
The Moscow City Court appointed Kiselev a new lawyer, who was given time before February 4 to get acquainted with the case materials. During the hearings, the investigators insisted on holding a psychiatric examination for Kvachkov, Interfax reports.
The former GRU colonel found the demands of the investigation offensive and unsuccessfully tried to cancel the examination. But a few months later, the doctors came to the conclusion that Vladimir Kvachkov is mentally healthy and fully sane.
Vladimir Kvachkov was detained by Russian FSB operatives 23 December 2010 in his apartment. He was immediately taken to the Moscow Lefortovo Court, which arrested the ex-colonel of the GRU on charges of attempting an armed coup and promoting terrorist activities. The reason for the arrest was the conversations that Kvachkov conducted in the kitchen of his apartment with his colleagues.
The Moscow City Court rejected on October 17 the 2012 of the defense petition for the termination of the criminal case against Kvachkov.

Earlier, Vladimir Kvachkov was twice acquitted by the Mosoblsud jury in the case of the attempted assassination of the former head of RAO UES of Russia, Anatoly Chubais. 22 December 2010 of the Year The Supreme Court of Russia declared the acquittal of Kvachkov legal.
The former colonel has ensured that the prosecutor's office apologized to him for unlawful criminal prosecution, and also sought non-pecuniary damage in court in the amount of 450 thousand rubles.
