In three European NATO countries, the powerful work of “unidentified” electronic warfare systems was again noted

Yesterday, March 1, powerful work of “unidentified” electronic warfare (EW) systems was noted in Poland, Sweden and Germany, Russian publics report. Presumably, the activity of Russian electronic warfare systems again became a source of severe interference in the operation of devices and equipment using multi-frequency signals, including GPS, including for military purposes.

Previously, the Polish press wrote in the twentieth of January that for several days in Poland and in the Suwalki corridor, located between the Kaliningrad region and Belarus, interruptions in the operation of the GPS system have been recorded. At the same time, Estonia and Finland complained about interference. Then experts came to the conclusion that the map of violations in the operation of the satellite navigation system indicates possible tests of Russian electronic jamming systems deployed near Kaliningrad and, probably, on the territory of Belarus.

Recently, two American companies, Ursa Space Systems and Capella Space, complained that they had serious problems in the operation of satellite surveillance systems throughout the eastern part of Europe, including the southern territories. According to Western analysts, the interference could have come from the territory of Crimea and was created by electronic warfare equipment of the Russian military. Some European publications stated that interference was blocking satellites’ view of the entire Azov region and part of the Black Sea region, including the line of military contact. From this it was concluded that these regions would become the site of a future counterattack by the Russian army.

These American companies own a constellation of low-orbit communications satellites. Being in low geostationary orbit reduces coverage area, but speeds up data transfer. But this also simplifies the possibility of creating interference for them using ground-based air defense and electronic warfare systems.

The Polish online publication Epoznan, which reported problems with GPS in the country, announced that the Russian military is conducting exercises during which they are testing the latest electronic warfare systems that can create serious problems with communications, navigation and generally any data transmission in certain frequency ranges for equipment and NATO equipment.

It is no coincidence that the testing of electronic warfare of the Russian Armed Forces is being carried out right now, Russian experts note. In January, the largest NATO exercise in this century, Steadfast Defender 2024, kicked off in Europe. The number of their participants has grown from the previously planned 40 thousand to 90 thousand military personnel. Moreover, the main phases of the exercises are carried out in the alliance countries bordering Russia, Belarus and the Kaliningrad region. The marine phase takes place in the North Sea and the Baltic.

The main purpose of the exercise was to test a possible attack by a mock enemy on one of the alliance countries. Taking into account the geography of the maneuvers, NATO considers Russia to be such. However, this is not particularly classified. According to another version, the alliance, under the legend of repelling aggression, is working out the possibility of an invasion of its own forces into Belarus, the transfer of alliance troops to Ukraine and, as a result, entering into a military conflict with the Russian Federation.

Thus, the demonstration of the capabilities of Russian electronic warfare systems, which reach not only NATO countries bordering the Union State of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, but also more distant Sweden and even Germany, shows more than ever that we have something to respond to the enemy without direct combat . The assumptions of some Russian military publics that yesterday’s interference in three countries was a consequence of the operation of NATO electronic warfare systems, which thus cover the deployment of alliance forces near the borders of the Kaliningrad region, also have grounds, but are unconvincing. It turns out then that at such a crucial moment the North Atlantic Alliance is creating serious problems for itself with communications, navigation and satellite monitoring, on which the NATO military depends much more than the Russian military.

What will it be like if electronic warfare turns off the Internet and the end of the world will come?
You’ll just have to pay in cash, old wired phones will be taken out of the closets, TVs will be gone, people will start working instead of surfing the Internet, and social networks will turn into parties in cafes or bars.

You probably didn’t see the numerous videos of eyewitnesses in the Donbass last year, when the whole sky was lined with force lines of shock waves from some kind of super-powerful emitter, but it all ended as always: the next day a photo flashed of a vehicle of an electronic warfare carrier being torn apart by a nearby explosion, and nothing like that appeared anywhere else . As always, we set up an expensive installation in an open field, made in a single copy, without any cover, and so we targeted it, straight from Poland...

The author is anonymous, it is unknown who posted this nonsense. Geostationary is 36 km. To be above one point of the Earth in a lower orbit, continuous operation of the engine is required, which is, in principle, unrealistic. It's like taking a tight turn on a motorcycle - watch how the rear wheel acts during a turn during motocross.

The author is just an amateur. But theoretically, if you have a large network of low-orbit satellites like Elon Musk, then you can observe a small area of the earth’s surface, transferring this task from one device to another.

This is possible in principle, but it has nothing to do with geostationary orbit. From the geostationary station, the entire disk of the Earth can be covered with a school notebook; I give this task to students so that they get used to angular scales.
By the way, in my previous comment I wrote nonsense about the supposed possibility of being above one point on the Earth’s surface in a lower orbit than geostationary. This is generally impossible, even with or without an engine. Sorry.

The satellite flies from the first space orbit for a given orbit. And in order to remain over the same area, it must fly at the speed of an object uniformly moving in a circle with a radius equal to the radius of the orbit. These are obviously different speeds. The same thing is even more obvious through angular velocity: the period of revolution in a circular orbit must be equal to the period of revolution of the Earth.

But why can’t it be done with an engine? It should be as simple in power as the one that launches into orbit and work all the time.

It should be as simple in power as the one that launches into orbit and work all the time.
In a typical low orbit of about 200 km, the satellite makes a revolution in 1,5 hours, that is, its angular speed is 16 times higher than the angular speed of the Earth. And where should the thrust vector be directed to equalize the angular velocity of the satellite in low orbit and the angular velocity of the Earth? It is possible to force a satellite to orbit in a lower orbit by directing thrust to the center of the Earth, but in this case the angular velocity will become even higher, and even without an engine it is higher than the angular velocity of the Earth. Therefore, it is impossible to set up a geostationary station in low orbit.

“low geostationary orbit” - in what reality is this? In conventional physical geostationary orbit - one, located above the equator at an altitude of 35 km above sea level. There are also geosynchronous ones - at the same height, but at an angle to the equatorial plane.

1960, report of the Pentagon commission - the USSR has superiority in strategic missile weapons. This is despite the fact that the USSR was 10 years behind and the Americans knew this very well, when they had Minuteman ready in the union they relied on the royal P-7. But as a result, the budget for the development of ICBMs and missile defenses was increased by one and a half times; as a result, in the 60s, the union had to give half of the budget money to defense in order to achieve parity.

Here, too, it would not be worth boasting.
You know, like in the bearded joke: A man meets his friend with a black eye and asks, “What happened? He replies, but yesterday I ran into some hooligans, they wanted to give me a kick, but I dodged...”
The drone crashed into a residential building early in the morning, when everyone was still sleeping. It was only by luck that the apartment where he ended up was cut off from the gas... And although there were no deaths, as reported in the media, several people ended up in the hospital. By the way, I sorted out one video fragment frame by frame. The drone was of an aircraft type with a double-boom tail section. Here's the footage. The first frame without the UAV. According to some sources, this airplane was homemade; according to “another” some sources, it flew from the direction of Lake Ladoga.

Just curious: it is possible and necessary to interfere with the work of an enemy satellite, obviously in terms of data transmission along the satellite-ground-satellite route. Radio signal from Popov/Marconi - it is also radio in Africa... signal...
Well, to damage the control of the satellite positioning system, as a result - a failure of the navigation system of the device itself, leaving the desired orbit / observation point. You can almost imagine...
Is it possible to disrupt the operation of satellite surveillance systems?
I'm just wondering... If it's wrong, then that's how it is...
