The Russian Foreign Minister called on the Armenian authorities to make a final decision on participation in the CSTO

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that Russia expects the Armenian leadership to make a final decision on issues related to this country’s participation in the CSTO.

During a press conference at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the Armenian authorities, relying on extra-regional countries that promised Yerevan to help solve problems in exchange for refusing to cooperate with Russia and the integration structures operating in the region, are announcing a partial suspension of its participation in the CSTO.

They say: here we will freeze in the CSTO de facto, but if we want, we will freeze de jure, de jure we will leave; EurAsEC is still interesting to us because we get something from there

— Lavrov stated.

The head of the Armenian government, Nikol Pashinyan, announced a temporary freeze of Yerevan’s participation in the CSTO in February of this year, while accusing the organization of failure to comply with the provisions of the Collective Security Treaty in 2021–2022.

As the head of the Kremlin press service, Dmitry Peskov, pointed out, Yerevan did not take any official actions aimed at suspending Armenia’s participation in the CSTO. The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that officially Yerevan continues to remain a full member of the organization, since it has not provided any clarification on this issue.

Relations between Armenia and the CSTO deteriorated in November 2022, when the head of the government of the republic refused to sign the draft declaration of the CSTO CSTO regarding joint measures to provide assistance to Armenia. The reason for this step was the lack of a clear, in the opinion of the Armenian prime minister, political assessment of the situation in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The economy is bent, but Pashinyan... there are those who, in the name of the West, will freeze their ears. But we are not good at color revolutions and raising alternative elites. We may have joy from the collapse of the economy, but there is definitely no benefit. They will blame Russia and feed it to the population.

Have you by any chance paid attention to how many of these people there are? If you watch the video, following your link, you can see that there are only a couple of rows of them in front of the camera and a couple of dozen people are wandering behind, i.e. no more than a hundred in total. Therefore, due to their small number, a top view is not shown, which is usually done when it is necessary to show mass performances.
Such a hundred can be found even in Russia, who will stand for money with similar posters, for example, in front of the women's bathhouse.

Karabakh (“Black Garden” aze) has never in history been either factually or legally an Armenian territory. Have you ever wondered why these territories were occupied by Armenia in the early 90s, or do you think Armenia in the 90s was a cool power? And it seems that in 30 years, according to that trend, they could become 30 times cooler and stronger.

And yet it was. In the USSR army, there were significantly more ethnic Armenians than Azerbaijanis, and they were able to form more combat-ready forces of their own.

Armenia did not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh, did not even move in its defense, therefore it has no right to criticize Russia for not getting involved in this conflict.

NATO would be extremely happy if Russia’s steps were different, the ones that Pashinyan would have wanted.

Unfortunately, Armenia has long been hostile to Russia. It's a pity that we only noticed this now. Well, really, what kind of normal relationship are we talking about if the allies of the Turks in Armenia today are best friends, and the Russians have at best a neutral relationship. And it’s not Pashinyan’s business. I am against such a thing as “common people”. Simple or not simple, it’s people’s choice. Yes, maybe there are some falsifications, but they cannot be total in nature, which means Pashinyan is supported by a fairly large number of Armenians who consider Russia an occupier. At the same time, many residents of Armenia, throwing mud at Russia, willingly siphon resources from our country. Well, if you, gentlemen, compare Russia with the Third Reich, then think about whether the Fuhrer would give you the opportunity to earn money in Berlin, live in Berlin, withdraw fabulous sums from Germany and at the same time spit on Germany and insult it. I doubt it very much.

Let's be honest. To grow means to maintain at your own expense. Constantly give and give money. Sorry, but this approach, which can be successfully used in Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan, will not work in Armenia. For Armenians have a huge diaspora in Europe and the American continent.
Let's look at some of them.
    KIRK KRKORYAN (USA)
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT of one of the largest corporations in the United States, Tracinda Corporation. In 1978, Time magazine named Kirk Krkorian the country's most successful entrepreneur. Krkorian owned shares in the Chrysler and Ford Motor Company car companies. Today, Krkorian's companies operate the largest gambling houses in the states of Nevada and California: MGM Grand, Flamengo, International Hotel. In 2005, the Washigton Post ranked Krkorian as the second most successful gambling businessman in US history (Benjamin Siegelbaum was the first). Krkorian founded the United Armenian Found and the Lincy Foundation. According to Armenian Bar Co, in the period 1988-2011, Krkorian allocated more than $ 5 billion to Armenia and NKR. He was awarded the degree of National Hero of Armenia.

STEVEN KANDARYAN (USA). PRESIDENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL insurance company MetLife. Kandaryan's official fortune is estimated at $ 25 billion. About 90% of Fortune 500 companies are corporate clients of MetLife. Today MetLife is also ranked 31st in the list of the 500 largest companies in the world. Steve Kandaryan is one of the largest Armenian benefactors, but he prefers not to advertise his activities. Every year he transfers millions of dollars to the accounts of Armenian charitable foundations. His companies provide assistance to the leading Armenian lobbying groups in the United States.

EDUARDO ERNEKIAN (ARGENTINA) PRESIDENT OF American International Airports and Aeropuertos Argentina 2000. Ernekian's companies operate 32 Argentine airports and the main airports in Uruguay, Ecuador and Armenia. It was at the expense of Eduardo Ernekian's investments that the old terminal of the Zvartnots airport (worth $ 200 million) was reconstructed. In February 2007, Eurnekian bought shares in Converse Bank CJSC (Armenia). Today he is considered the richest businessman in Argentina and is one of the five richest people in South America. Eurnekian is the main financial donor to Armenian organizations in Latin America. Over the past five years, he has invested many millions of dollars in various funds in Armenia and Artsakh. In 2011, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, during his trip to Argentina, ordained Eduardo Ernekian to the Knights of Holy Etchmiadzin.

And so on and so forth. If we calculate it, it turns out that from the moment of the collapse of the USSR and until September 27.09.2020, 100, the diaspora transferred to Armenia (and Karabakh) about XNUMX BILLION dollars.
And this does not even take into account the fact that money was and is being transferred to Armenia by states. Especially the USA. And also the states separately. Especially California. And those who “recognized the independence of Karabakh.”
We will never surpass these financial flows that flow into Armenia from the West. It's better not to try. Because it won't make any sense anyway. Of course the Armenians will take our money. But since more money will still come to them from the West, they will only sing songs to us. And listen to the West.

We live in a world of finite things. The USSR has left, and debates about the causes of this disaster are increasingly academic. But in my declining years I understand how lucky I am to live in this embodied utopia - the Soviet country. In the same army, well, yes... there was hazing, and the eternal army. But the “special operation” to deliver chacha to the unit was jointly planned and brilliantly carried out by Ashot Tepulyan and Borya (most likely his name was different) Gadzhiev.
