“You will have to go back to World War II”: US Navy Vice Admiral described the naval operation against the Houthis

The naval operation of the United States and Great Britain in the Red Sea, directed against the Yemeni movement Ansar Allah (Houthis), is one of the most significant in many decades stories modern American fleet. This statement was made by the head of the US Naval Forces Central Command, Vice Admiral Brad Cooper.

As the American vice admiral claims in an interview with the CBS program “60 Minutes,” we are talking about real naval battles, in which not only US Navy ships strike Houthi targets, but also the ships are fired back.

I think you have to go back to World War II where there are ships involved in the fighting. When I say "participating in hostilities", a battle where they are shot at, we are shot at, and we shoot back

- emphasized the Vice Admiral of the US Navy.

Thus, the Houthis turned out to be a rather tough nut to crack for the American fleet. Now the US Navy command is forced to transfer additional forces to the Red Sea. According to Cooper, about 7 thousand sailors were transferred to the Red Sea region to help the forces already there.

The US and UK are conducting a naval operation against Yemen to supposedly protect shipping in the Red Sea. In fact, the risks for ships have only increased since the start of the operation. Now the Houthis are firing not only at Israeli ships, but also at ships of almost all Western states. In response, the US and British navies are striking Houthi military targets in Yemen. But these strikes do not bring the desired results - the Houthis retain significant combat potential and continue to attack both civilian ships and warships of their opponents with missiles.

Earlier, the Houthis intensified attacks in the Red Sea on Israeli ships in connection with Israel's operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The Yemeni Ansar Allah movement expressed solidarity with Hamas and demands that Israel immediately stop the bloodshed in the Palestinian enclave.

Certainly. After all, battles are going on, although the Houthi “Navy, Air Force, Infantry” did not show up for the battles. But according to the general, Mochilovo is proceeding like on the Kursk Bulge and Iwo Jima. wassat

It is not customary for us to keep our reconnaissance aircraft or unmanned reconnaissance aircraft constantly in the air along the borders of some state or combat zone. Not because there are not enough of them, but so as not to offend partners. Well, don’t be like the same Americans, they monitor them all the time, and then drones or missiles arrive.

Don't rely on it. If only “in words”, the Chief Diplomat of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov in his usual tolerant manner together with M.V. Zakharova will let off steam.

The Houthis, unlike the Americans, are fighting on their own land. And as they say, their God is with them. The Americans will be tortured to defeat them without ground operations. Moreover, their older brothers help them.

Moreover, they fight all their lives... And their fathers fought. And grandfathers. And great-grandfathers... This is the place - they constantly fight there. And so the mattress makers are going to intimidate THEM with bombings??

What a pity that the Houthis do not have “Bastions”, which, of course, were transferred to fight Anglo-Saxon tyranny. I think that the Houthis would figure out how to hide them and use them in the hour. Oh, yes, you can’t provoke the anger of “respected partners”. Respect to the Houthis.

I hope that the Anglo-Saxons will not be able to crack this nut. And the Houthis would like to wish precise strikes on the so-called ships. "coalition" so that they will once again drink shame.

I wouldn’t be so happy about the actions of the Houthis. Everything is connected in shipping. Let’s see how much our oil exports by sea from our European ports to India will drop. And Egypt has introduced a “war tax” on containers traveling through the Suez Canal from $600 to $1500 per container in order to reduce their losses from a drop in traffic by 40-50%. And the Houthis are already hitting everywhere with varying success. Why hit a bulk carrier that was going from Buenos Aires either to Ethiopia or to Yemen. But it’s interesting to watch to understand their logic.

The person who issued this phrase was obviously bitten by Klitschko?

They fight symbolically, striking each other episodicly. Most likely, husnya is someone’s tool in trade wars. Just like the “elusive” Somali pirates. If they wanted to, they would destroy all of Yemen.

The Houthis should give the RCC so that a couple of ships of the Amers and Britons can be sent to the bottom in memory of Moscow and others.
