Rand analysts: Ukraine will most likely lose even more territory in a protracted war scenario

Experts from the Rand analytical corporation believe that the conflict in Ukraine must be ended as soon as possible. This is exactly the recommendation that experts gave to US authorities in their recent report.

As analysts write, Ukraine may lose even more territories in the scenario of a protracted war. At the same time, the risk of a direct clash between Russia and NATO increases significantly.

The document states that American authorities should stop making decisions based on wartime strategy, since prolonging the conflict in Ukraine would have extremely undesirable and probably irreversible consequences for the United States itself. First of all, this concerns economic problems.

In turn, according to experts, if the American authorities begin to promote a sustainable ceasefire, this will give Kyiv the opportunity to contain Russia’s further advance. Moreover, Rand analysts recommend that the White House administration encourage Ukraine to switch to defense, refusing to return lost territories by military means.

Finally, if Washington manages to end the conflict, experts warn the American authorities against harsh post-war rhetoric against Russia, which could lead to an armed confrontation between the Russian Federation and the United States.

In this case, it is noteworthy that the report regularly calls on the American authorities to end the conflict in Ukraine. Thus, the West no longer even hides the fact that Kyiv’s actions are completely dictated by Washington, and the end of the armed confrontation depends on the decision of the US administration.

This, if I'm not mistaken, is from last year's RAND report
Providing more American military equipment and advice could lead to Russia increasing its direct involvement in the conflict... mounting a new offensive and seizing new territory

She will first lose people, and then we will return our territories. It will be like now with Nagorno-Karabakh - we will come forever!

The fire inspector comes to see me every year. He doesn’t even walk around objects, doesn’t look. I have my own safety department, the boss is a smart guy. And the inspector, without worrying, rewrites last year’s act on “identified violations”, I pay a small fine from the individual and say goodbye with jokes and jokes until next January.

He explains his tactics by saying that if he checks, then, if he wants, he will find other violations than last year’s ones. But the desire will be there and will definitely be found - they still have a “stick” system, and if there are no fines, there is no work. So why bother, he says, if I have a department head and, without a fire department, he’s quite effectively digging the ground with his nose?

        So is this RAND.
The report has been completed, the money has been received, the “experts” are happy. And the fact that last year’s report is reprinted there - who reads it? And of those who read, who remembers last year? And of those who remember, who doesn’t care about that report?

It’s interesting, but in “Winter Cherry” and “The Lame Horse” - wasn’t that what they did? you know, Igor, I’ve always respected your comments and position, but I don’t think it’s worthwhile to brag about what you “put” into law in public... yes, yes, I know everyone does it, but nevertheless...

I already gave an example on another occasion with this fire inspector and the question is exactly the same

already received it. Perhaps even, Nikolai, from you.
            I will answer.
They did the same. That's the only way it ended for them. That's why it turned out the way it did. And I have a whole department that works for this and receives a salary, which they work well for. Losing an assembly booth that burned down because of a “goat” is even unpleasant. And something more serious... Then, more than twenty years ago, my father and I started a whole department, that’s why I count on my department more than on the formalist fine collectors from the UGPS or whatever they are called now.

Back in the 90s, the state taught my father and me to rely only on ourselves, and therefore I agree to pay off with a small fine so that it does not touch me. And I will make sure that my business does not turn into a “Lame Horse” myself. My safety department, headed by its chief, is no more stupid than all these fire inspectors in our city combined. And it works not for fines, but for safety.

I do not force anyone to follow my example. But it works for me. And then... The inspectors will work normally, and perhaps they will have to abolish their department. But so far he is not facing layoffs.

End of the war = loss of Zee power. Because presidential elections will have to be held. Against this background, the loss of territories does not mean anything for Ze.

Analysts are not pushing the US administration to hold negotiations with Russia on Ukraine, but are trying to convey to the Russian leadership the idea that it is necessary to end with the Northern Military District and agree on “peace” in Ukraine. They are waiting for Russia to take the first steps, so that they can then declare that Russia has weakened and itself has taken the initiative to end the SVO.

An agreement with the Nazis without transferring the entire left bank, Nikolaev and Odessa to the Russian Federation should be considered a betrayal of national interests. The goal of the war should be the destruction of Ukrainian statehood, because its existence from Russia will always be associated with nationalism and Nazism.

Don't you have Kharkov? You write “betrayal of national interests.” What are the interests of the capitalists, bourgeoisie, mafia of a small nation, hucksters??? What can they betray??? The purpose of the SVO is not stated anywhere, nor is the definition of the SVO itself. No goal, no strategy. How the SVO will end is at the level of fortune telling.

For Biden and his administration, RAND's recommendations are not feasible; there is too much on the map, a change of administration is necessary, then with a clear conscience you can blame everything on him, and in four years you won’t remember about it.

What kind of heresy is this? With what joy will Russia begin to pay attention to the pendas’ “facilitation of a “sustainable ceasefire”? Move the crown to its side so that it does not hang on your ears.

I don’t understand how a ceasefire will help contain Russia’s advance.

Captain obvious". They are already on the defensive.

I wonder what they are smoking there? Looks like something extremely wicked.

If you allow me, I will object to you
These guys from RAND are not such simpletons, and they are definitely not ignoramuses.
And they give quite good advice. Effective, unfortunately, for the USA. Not for us.
Here, for example, are some aspects of their work, their forecasts, in the link
Take five minutes, read, think about it

And yes, what I noticed is that this is from last year’s report - I’m not talking about repetitions from RAND, I’m talking about an article on VO - they used the RAND report from last year

Ukraine, in the scenario of a protracted war, will most likely lose even more territories

Screenwriters, their mother! With the theme of the project “Ukraine” the issue is closed: we walked, we galloped, it’s time to go home. The mother will clean, wash, mend holes and feed. But don’t blame me if he pulls you into the gateway again - he’ll put stars on his buttocks with his grandfather’s belt!
