The New York Times: The Armed Forces of Ukraine will only have enough ammunition for air defense until spring
21
Against the backdrop of a reduction in supplies of Western weapons and the delay by the US Congress in making a decision on the allocation of funds for Ukraine, the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line is becoming more and more difficult and the new commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky will have a hard time in this situation, writes the American newspaper The New York Times.
In addition, a rather problematic situation is developing with the lack of ammunition for the Ukrainian DefenseAs the American publication notes, citing American officials, in the absence of new supplies of air defense ammunition, they will only last until March.
Ukrainian troops are exhausted and lack weapons and ammunition. Air defense systems are steadily depleted due to repeated bombings
– says the publication.
Let us recall that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba previously announced a severe shortage of artillery shells, and the American publication The Wall Street Journal noted that for every ten Russian shells, the Ukrainian Armed Forces manage to fire only one.
It is worth adding that there is a deficit missiles for air defense systems, is obviously an even bigger problem for Ukraine than the shortage of artillery shells, since the latter's functions can to some extent be performed by Drones.
