Yemen's Houthis said they were not impressed by the US-organized Red Sea security coalition.

Following several attacks by Yemen's Houthis on merchant ships moving in the Red Sea, the West announced a multinational operation to protect shipping. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin announced its start yesterday.

In addition to the United States, the Yemeni group will be opposed by France, Canada, Great Britain, Bahrain, Norway, Spain, the Netherlands and the Seychelles.

Overall, a very serious coalition. However, the Yemeni Houthis were not impressed. At least that’s what the Houthis themselves say.

Thus, during today’s interview with Reuters, Houthi leader Mohammed Abdulsalam announced the continuation of attacks on ships that will move in the Red Sea. At the same time, he clarified that only those ships that go to Israel will be attacked. Abdulsalam promised “not to touch the rest.”

The Houthi leaders also note that any attempt by the Americans to resist their activities could lead to enormous economic problems for both Israel and the United States itself. The Yemeni Houthis also note that warships that try to support Israel in its war against Palestine will also be targeted.

It is worth noting that the Red Sea is extremely important for world trade, as about 12% of all cargo passes through it. At the same time, it is connected through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which is now completely controlled by the Houthis, with the Gulf of Aden in the Arabian Sea. As a result, ships traveling to the Indian Ocean from the Atlantic through the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal, and vice versa, are under threat.

It is worth noting that most experts call the Houthis, who are on the side of Palestine, an “unpredictable factor” that could sharply aggravate the situation in the Middle East, and therefore there is a risk of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict spreading to the entire region.

Excellent trolling from the Houthis laughing . In general, some experts in military warfare believe that such bravado is far from out of nowhere. After concluding a truce with the Saudis, the Houthis, with the help of Iran, had the opportunity to significantly replenish their arsenals, incl. there is an opinion that also anti-ship missiles. In general, in any case, this is a tough nut to crack

It also seems to me that the Houthis will not unfoundedly scare - verbiage is a Western trick. They keep something up their sleeves “for dessert” and it’s definitely not a slingshot

Their weapons, of course, are old.
But the main thing is that there is a lot of it.
Ukraine has shown very well that sophisticated expensive systems are only good for a one-time action, and not for war.

Alas, if they have anti-ship missiles, they are few and subsonic; they are not a threat to the air defense of NATO ships (although if there are slobs there too, they might miss a couple of pieces).
but there will be no massive salvoes of supersonic anti-ship missiles there, as well as battle tests of Zircon ((((I would love to see how Zircon works on NATO vessels.

This is who needs help with anti-ship missiles and air defense. There would be a second series of NATO’s hybrid war against Russia, called “Russia is paying in the same coin.” Or it would be possible to throw in several hypersonic ones, with the condition that they would hit the aircraft carrier. Then I would be able to say “I am completely satisfied with the sunken aircraft carrier.”

The strait is 26-90 km wide, and is also divided in one place near Yemen by an island, so the channel is covered by mobile MLRS; highly sophisticated anti-ship missiles are not required. But modern tankers are not so easy to sink to the bottom with one or two UAVs or missiles due to the special design of the lower part of the hull. But a salvo of MLRS from above can bake this “little pig” in “its own juice” with a gorgeous smoke screen and further flooding... then it’s a mess for shipping.

And they don’t need to go to the bottom! All they have to do is start to wet, which in turn will stop the flow of ships. Which is already happening. The main question is whether mattresses will be able to restore shipping. And if they can’t, then they can be written off as scrap, because after being defeated by people in sandals, they will also receive a blow from the fishermen with an oar!

With a little advanced acoustics, a maritime drone can hit a cargo ship's propeller. Repairing a ship after such damage in the Red Sea will take a long time; even transporting a bulk carrier with damaged propellers to a ship repair yard is problematic.

What we ourselves are afraid to do is happening before our eyes! Some fishermen openly sent the mattresses and their friends. And they didn’t just send it, but actually promised to take it out of me. We are patiently waiting for the plot to develop. If the topic goes viral, the face of the United States on the world map will look extremely sour, and the number of its allies will noticeably decrease...

If these fishermen had sat in one place, not hiding and not moving anywhere, then they would not have sent mattresses anywhere and the rhetoric would have been completely different. There is no need to equate an entire country with a practically partisan movement that is its own master. If Russia consisted only of soldiers, without old people, women and children, then it would not be afraid of anything either.

In general, this is not trolling.

If you look at this confrontation between the Houthis and the entire West, it even becomes funny. Where is Yemen and where is the USA? Completely different “weight categories” in terms of economic, financial and military components. Even if we add Iranian assistance to the Houthis, it is still incomparable.

The vaunted US Armed Forces are no longer enough to cope with all the counter calls in response to their actions wherever they created problem areas and hotbeds of tension. Now they are spinning around as best they can, urgently sending their aircraft carrier groups everywhere, which previously, in numbers of at least five, roamed around the world.

And what expenses all this will require and what it may ultimately result in, only God knows.

Here is what Politico writes about this (https://www.politico.com/news/2023/12/19/missile-drone-pentagon-houthi-attacks-iran-00132480) in the article “Pentagon is worried over the cost of Houthi attacks".

Indeed, there is something to be quietly horrified by. The Pentagon is increasingly concerned and alarmed not only by the threat to the US Navy and international shipping from the Yemeni Houthis, but above all by the growing cost of providing security.

In just two months, US Navy ships have shot down 38 drones and several Houthi missiles over the Red Sea. And just last Saturday, the destroyer USS Carney intercepted 14 attack drones.

What happens is that the cost of one American missile can reach about $2 million, fired to destroy Houthi drones, the cost of which is estimated at a couple of thousand dollars each.

With such simple “trolling,” the Houthis will very soon and quickly leave the hegemon completely without trousers.

These Houthis are dashing guys. In skirts, with a crooked dagger in their belts, they attacked Saudi Arabia, which spends more per hour on military needs than Yemen does per year. It is clear that Iran is behind them, but they have no courage. Suffice it to recall the story of the destroyer Cole. If the Seychelles Navy can still afford to sink its only kayak, then it is risky for the commander of an aircraft carrier to approach the shore.

Why should they be impressed? They sit on the shore and in the mountains. The sea of weapons is spilled. They are indifferent to rocket attacks. A landing is unlikely and will not scare anyone. It’s just that they used to shoot at civilian ships without an escort, and now they shoot at convoys too. At the same time, the air defense of coalition ships will be checked. Calming the Yemeni robbers will be expensive and time-consuming

Complete isolation of the Zionist regime! Don't want to be attacked? Don't mess with the fascists! And if you trade with them, expect Houthi gifts! Not all hypocrisy can flourish! Russia was therefore excluded from Eurovision, although it did not even do 1 percent of what the Zionist fascists continue to do in Palestine. Israel, despite the demands of some countries to be excluded from the competition, was left. But this is different! The same thing with sports, Russia was excluded from all sports competitions, but Israel was not. Russia is probably carpet bombing Kyiv, that's why! And Israel is selectively and surgically destroying Hamas fighters. It is not for nothing that many Muslim countries have long boycotted Israel at sporting competitions, although they know that they will be disqualified. At competitions, athletes pulled out Ukrainian flags, as if in support, this was accepted with understanding, of course, this is fair! But when athletes pull out Palestinian flags, they are disqualified or fired! This is normal and fair, there is no hypocrisy or double standards here!

So let's not create hypocrisy. Ships go through the Red Sea not only to Saudi Arabia and Israel. Yes, the main traffic flow there goes to Europe.
And what are you modestly keeping silent about the Ukrainian Armed Forces firing from the territories of schools and residential buildings?
After all, if we leave behind the scenes the fact that the Russian Army carries out targeted strikes, and the IDF fires at squares... everything else is the same. Both the RA and the IDF strike at the enemy firing, including at civilians. Moreover, Hamas is practically firing at civilians.
Also the Houthis. Under the guise of fighting Israel, they attack unarmed ships. There is even an assumption that the Houthis’ actions are directed not against Israel, but against Saudi Arabia.

Trouble, I didn’t understand what you wrote there, I re-read it 3 times. Stupid... You have fascists, there are no civilians, they put everyone under arms, even women! So I don’t need to sing fairy tales here. About the civilian population. The number of victims was initially 1400, but yesterday it was officially reduced to 695! This is not final yet, maybe it will be even less! Another question is who killed more there, Hamas or the IDF, given the more lethal destructive effect of tanks, planes, and helicopters. Hamas did not plan to kill at all! He needed living hostages. Unlike you fascists, guided by the Hannibal Directive! What we see now is when Israel itself kills all its hostages, sometimes with bombs and missiles, and sometimes directly with machine gun fire at point-blank range! Fascist Israel suffers most from the actions of the Houthis! You are told not to approach lepers, do it! Complete isolation of the fascist regime! You tell people, we’ll give you a couple of hours, go away, we’ll do carpet bombing! School, hospital, church, mosque - the fascists don’t care. As there was a recent incident, a bulldozer went to a tent camp and buried dozens of people alive. You are inhuman! You cannibals!

Well, at least he admitted to being stupid, and that’s a plus.
But stop with hypocrisy and double standards. And there’s no need to make a fool of yourself about the fact that Hamas did not plan to kill, and the rockets that have been launched from the territory of Gaza since Hamas took over there are fireworks, you should also justify the Ukrainian Nazis. And there is no need to cynically calculate how many suffered on which side. And about the hostages - maybe you can say the same about Nord-Ost and Beslan. And the Houthis too, they are also terrorists. There is a massive flow of ships through the Red Sea to Europe, only a few of which go to Israel.
For example. You are walking along a village street. And then a man flies out of the gate and shouts, “You’re bringing vodka to our alcoholic,” and hits you with all his might on the back with a shovel. Are you going to scratch your back and take a detour?
There are no white and fluffy people in the Arab-Israeli conflict. On both sides there are non-humans. Hamas understood perfectly well what would be the response, but it does not care about the residents of Gaza, for it they are just a human shield in their positions. But the Houthis don’t care about Israel, Hamas, or ordinary Yemenis. They, like Hamas, will hide, and Yemeni civilians will suffer.

So there is no need to create double standards here. Otherwise, it turns out that the Ukrainian nationalists who fire from the territories of schools, hospitals and residential buildings are war criminals, and the Hamas members who do the same are freedom fighters.
