“We will be left with nothing”: Polish Defense Minister criticized the revision of arms contracts with South Korea

The still-current Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak criticized the upcoming possible revision armory contracts with South Korea. He believes that revising the agreement actually means announcing their termination.

The head of the Polish defense department wrote about this on his page on the social network.

The decision to review the contracts could be made by the new government, which is now preparing to take over from its predecessors after the defeat of the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party in the elections.

Blaszczak fears that the new authorities, for populist purposes, will announce the need to replace supplies from South Korean manufacturers with products from Polish defense industry enterprises.

They will populistly say that we will replace equipment from Korea with equipment from Poland, and in the end we will be left with nothing

- says the Minister of Defense.

Blaszczak's alarm is based on public statements made by the Speaker of the Polish Sejm Szymon Golownia and the proposed new head of the Ministry of Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Agreements signed by the PiS interim government may be canceled

- Golovnya said in an interview with the Polish radio station ZET.

Earlier, as part of a program to strengthen its Armed Forces, the Polish government signed contracts with South Korean defense companies for the purchase of their products worth multibillion-dollar sums. We are talking about South Korean tanks K2, Chunmoo MLRS, K9 self-propelled howitzers and FA-50 combat aircraft.

Oh you hyenas of Europe. You go from one extreme to another, but in the end you will be left with nothing.
Go to the Outskirts and pick up your T-72s if you find them. And buy back their decommissioned BTR-60s from the Bulgarians as scrap metal until they are sent to the outskirts for recycling.

Kaczynski and his party wanted to create a strong army.
Therefore, having lost the elections, they appointed their own prime minister.
      To finalize previously agreed contracts.
And Tusk knows how to count money. He is not very afraid of Russia.
As far as I know, he does not increase the army to 300 thousand
going. He needs money, but he doesn’t have a “gun.” Hope...

It seems the South Koreans have introduced a rollback system into their weapons, we should check if this minister bought a mansion in London

      Gorbachev taught them this.
When he took out a loan for the USSR.

Was there really a rollback? A kickback is at least 5% of the amount, and the amounts that were given to Gorbachev today and the mayor of a city of thousands of 200 people will not impress. He squandered state-owned lands from the bottom of his heart, otherwise he would have asked for more times a thousand

Agree. $100000, in today's times, is very little.
My dislike for Gorbachev deprived me of my objectivity towards the Koreans. feel
They had everything in order with corruption in Korea long before him.

It is unlikely that they will renegotiate the contract because they will end up with a lot of money.
The massive rearmament of the Polish army with South Korean armored vehicles and artillery has already been included in the budget and contracts have been concluded
The production of Polish “Crabs” and the supply of finished products will now be carried out exclusively to Ukraine, since there is nowhere else to put them, and it is necessary to maintain production.

Actually, they buy everything on credit. Korea provided them with loan money to support sales of their military-industrial complex.
......(Poland is going to buy weapons on credit. In total, Seoul must provide Warsaw with an amount of 77 billion zlotys (about 1,5 trillion rubles), which will cover 70% of the obligations of the Polish side.)
This is approximately $17 billion, of which the Poles plan only 30% of their money. But in reality, in Poland’s budget for 2023 only $1,5 billion was planned for these weapons. It’s not harmful to want, but the loan must be repaid, and given that they buy Patriot complexes and Abrams tanks from the striped ones, now they are debtors for life.

All contracts for the supply of Korean weapons will be divided by 30%...

It looks like it will be like a bad joke:
        - Koreans, give us K2 tanks quickly, otherwise it will begin... and Chunmoo MLRS, otherwise it will begin... and K9 self-propelled howitzers, otherwise it will begin... and FA-50 aircraft, otherwise it will begin...
        - and money?
        - began ...

Initially, it was clear that Polyandia was not able to pay even half of what it had contracted. It is unclear what they were counting on.

For reparations from Germany. That is why they demanded them so hysterically, asked the US to put pressure on them... In general, the fools armed themselves with darkness.

Who is Poland going to fight with? With Russia or with Germany? There is not even a hint from Russia of a war with European countries. Or is everything decided for the Poles in London and Washington? hi

Oh, come on, it’s okay for him to cry - when they drove him away from the feeding trough.

Objectively, South Korea has rebuilt facilities and transferred technologies.
Now everything that is produced in Poland can be considered its own, although previously it was South Korean - when it was simply purchased as imported.

The most important thing here is that the specialists are not transferred out and are not disconnected from the Software.

Oh, I got tired of the Korean SUV, which constantly stalled at traffic lights, blew black diesel smoke (for camouflage) and scared me with an abundance of checks on the tidy, until I turned off the EGR valve and cut out the excess from the muffler. The power steering hose broke and I had to drive 100 km to Ussuriysk with tight steering wheel without fluid. The doors and hood rusted and the chrome rhinestones on the sides quickly flew off.

It is not a fact that Korea transferred technology and equipment. But even if this happened, it takes time to build your own development and production cycle, supply of components, etc. But, in general, relying on your own production is correct. Will there be a replacement of imports with domestic (Polish) ones? Perhaps the Koreans are being removed to please those who now support Poland (the West or the USA). It’s not for nothing that it received and is receiving huge financial injections from the European Union.
