The Telegraph: Russia is approaching a crushing victory

More and more materials are appearing in the Western press in which journalists and military experts express the opinion that Kyiv’s further attempts to win a military victory over Russia are futile. At the same time, the authors of the articles warn of an extremely difficult situation that Ukraine’s allies may find themselves in.

Similar material was recently published in the British newspaper The Telegraph. At the same time, the headline speaks for itself: “Putin’s Russia is approaching a crushing victory. The foundations of Europe are shaking."

The author of the article, British Lord Daniel Hannan, states that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which Kiev’s allies, including Britain, were counting on, completely failed due to the fact that Russian troops managed to build a reliable line of defense. As a result, today's military technology favors the defender.

As in 1914, a fortified line runs along the entire length of the front, from the Dnieper delta to the Russian border

- writes Hannan.

The expert emphasizes that Ukraine’s allies, despite not participating in the conflict, are quite heavily “invested” in it. Therefore, Russia’s victory in the current confrontation, among other things, will greatly hit the reputation of the collective West.

Moreover, the author believes that any truce concluded on Russia's terms would be catastrophic for NATO, demonstrating to the world the alliance's inability to save the country that its two most powerful members, the United States and Great Britain, have pledged to defend.

At the same time, the British lord is confident that the conflict must still end with an agreement. However, one that will not openly encourage, as he put it, “Russian aggression.”

The essence of the idea of the author of the Sunday article is that during the negotiations Kiev should achieve autonomy for the eastern regions (apparently, they are talking about the LPR and DPR, which are part of the Russian Federation) under free Ukrainian suzerainty, as well as holding a referendum in the “demilitarized” Crimea (which is also is Russian). He does not mention the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

Tellingly, according to Hannan, this option is still possible today.

Such statements clearly demonstrate that, despite some “epiphany,” the West is still far from reality.

That is, you seem to cry about the fate of the Slavs (of South Russian and Great Russian origin), and then propose to bomb the Slavukrov with almost atomic bombs?

Winning with slow and indecisive actions is many times bloodier and more destructive than tough and fast. (Free retelling of many famous military leaders.) Winning without nuclear weapons is possible only with real and sensitive actions. I will list a few: isolation (possibly ELIMINATION) of the government and presidency, destruction of ALL bridges on the Dnieper, destruction of all junction railway stations, shutdown of TV and radio broadcasting, shutdown of the Internet, elimination of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine, creation of an alternative government of Ukraine, etc. Not bloody actions at all, compared to HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of killed citizens on HUGE FRONTS, the loss of many thousands of tanks and other military and civilian equipment. But all this has been going on for TWO YEARS! This is what we have today, and without prospects it is significant to win...crying

It seems that Suvorov would not have sat still and waited for a decision from the UN.
Somehow Israel doesn’t really look around and ask for advice.
And we actually have nothing to lose. Well, at most, a couple hundred more restrictions will be introduced.

          And what is wrong?
Firstly, this is something from the category of “I gave birth to you, I will kill you.”
Kakoliks are perceived as Judases and behave like devils. Why not bomb?

Again about the Slavs. The Poles are also Slavs, but with such Slavs there is no need for Teutons/hordes...
Not all Slavs are equally useful. And the division by nationality. this is a bad idea.

We don’t like HandeKhokhlovs not because they are Ukrainians, but because of their behavior, which was disgusting long before the Northern Military District, and even before the Maidan no no yes it smelled (spoiled small nations?). Now it’s just an association, like “xohol == those devils over there, which means it’s extremely bad.”

I really don’t understand... In the West, someone seriously believed in the “prospects” of Ukraine’s victory over Russia...??? If so, then the EU needs to be treated in the next ward, next to the ward for “Nezalezhnaya”... How badly you know Russia... And Ukraine too... And your opponents, like your allies, need to be studied, and very seriously and not engage in hat-throwing... “Hap-throwing” is ours, dear, and only we are allowed to do it... lol

So why should they think otherwise after we exchanged NATO expansion to the east for beads and for more than 20 years did nothing but anxiously back away, drawing some red lines?
And the very form of the SVO does not speak of any determination at the level of a national idea in the style of “everything to the front, everything for the front.”
That’s why the lords and other trash think, and unfortunately it’s not unreasonable, that it will be possible to negotiate profitably for the next beads - we’ll get you back to Swift, and you’ll return Crimea

Everything is real, we just need NORMAL solutions, but with them it’s really BAD. Ours use weapons only when the Ukrainian Armed Forces use them.
Is this how military operations are conducted?! ALL possible means are used for the fastest victory. And at SVO, it seems they’re not really in a hurry to win. It seems that the goal is the extermination of the Slavs: both Ukrainian and Russian. Regarding the use of large thermobaric bombs of 3-5 tons (you can drop NINE for show). First, the area is cleared of air defense, then they are dropped from a high altitude (12-15 km), in the presence of fighters covering them from air defense missiles and other threats. But these and similar actions are NOT carried out. Why? So the goals of the SVO are different...crying

Everything is simpler and sadder - on the one hand, we cannot resolve the issue with a forced march along the Polish border for both objective and political reasons, and at the same time this is not beneficial for us - the bet was initially placed on the fact that Ukraine would become a suitcase for the West without pens, a kind of black resource hole, because of which these spiders in the bank quarrel, weakening their positions
And now the time has come to extract maximum benefit from the turmoil in the enemy’s camp - both from the perspective of the US elections and their subsequent “mood,” and from the perspective of a rapidly “ruling” Europe.
That's why bridges and other infrastructure are intact - why bomb something that may soon have to be restored?
We are now putting the collective West in an increasingly uncomfortable split - either abandon the suitcase a la Afghanistan-2, or join in further - with a high risk of losing power, vainly explaining this to an increasingly sober electorate

From the ground they report the enemy's retreat from under the bridge over the Konka River; thermal imagers simply do not detect the presence of living infantry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the island behind the bridge, the VSUshnikov are also not noticeable. The impression is that they left.

Then by prohrál celý svět.

If there are peace negotiations, then, obviously, they will take place only according to Russian conditions and rules. The West has completely failed, so it has to pay for lying in the treaties that were supposed to delay Russia so that Ukraine would have time to prepare for war. The fools in the West seem to have forgotten who Russia is, it will never lose and cannot! Then the whole world will lose. Western banks and fascists were already looking forward to how they would divide Russia into parts, divide up Russia's wealth and make Eastern Europe a part full of slaves who would have nothing to defend themselves with. Therefore, even for a significant part of Europe, Russia’s victory in Ukraine is hope for peace and light at the end of the tunnel!

Mate naprostou pravdu. You are absolutely right. But I don’t understand at all why the EU is getting involved in the conflict in Ukraine? Do they really believe Washington's tales about the defeat of the Russian Federation? And especially since Ukraine (with its potential can defeat the Russian Federation)?!?! The guys from Washington are telling the Europeans: Don’t be patient, we’ll overthrow Putin’s regime, install our own president, and all the resources of the Russian Federation will be ours for free. Rave! If the Russian Federation is defeated (which is absolutely unrealistic in the current situation!), then the resources in any case will be only American. How they (the Americans) have already grabbed all the black soil in Ukraine. But why does the EU need this?!?! To get a chance at some tiny piece of the pie?!?!

.“Putin is finished and his country will soon fall apart”
But, as usual, everything turned out to be completely different. Now Hannan has to admit the obvious: the West has no way to stop Russia and does not foresee it.
